All around scoring for the team, 5 players in double figures, and some other guys who were really close.

Wall - 14 points
Beal-11 points
Nene-10 points
Porter-12 points 4-5 shooting
Seraphin-11 points

Andre Miller 8- points
Glen Rice-9
Blair-6
Pierce 4

we shot 48% from the field, but 3-14 3Pointers
Pelicans shot 36% from the field,

We won the rebound game 48-41.
Turnovers should come down, but I'm very pleased so far.

We won points in the paint a whopping
38-20

It's all about the Rice in Preseason, I hope this kid makes the team.

He played good near the end, but I think Porter deserves some credit! 4-5 shooting , 5 rebounds!

Makes the team? He's not a camp invite. Either way, Porter and Rice are going to be huge for us off the bench this season.

A lot depends on when Webster returns. Rice could lose a lot of time or all of it when Martell is ready to go.

Porter outplayed Rice. Time to adjust those depth charts.

Also Wall with 9 turnovers in 24 minutes :o

Wall in postgame:

"Paul is telling me and Brad to be aggressive and get in the paint. He's teaching me things that he told Rondo when they played together"

Wall learning Rondo's point guard nuances would be amazing. I have a feeling this season will be huge for Wall, he's going to become a major franchise leader and elite point guard.

I have to wonder what Ariza was teaching Wall, because he was elite last season.

Is Wall still with KD's trainer?

I wouldn't necessarily go with a true 6th man because of how deep the roster is. I would do something like a line shift.

Shift out my forwards early (Nene and Pierce). Something like 6 or 7 minutes into the first. Put in Hump and Otto. Then shift out Gortat and Beal for GRJr and Blair with after 8 minutes played or so. Then a minute or two later would be Wall for Miller.

Then I play that second line for a while, work Pierce and Nene back in with a decent amount to go in the second. Wall sits a good chunk of the second but comes in for the final several minutes.

Or if Nene comes off the bench early in the season, then I do the same thing with Hump and Pierce.

In the second half I sub Pierce out early in the third so he can play most of the fourth. I also try and sub everyone out earlier so they can play more of the fourth.

I would want to run a true ten to eleven man rotation, so that means my starters are going to play less minutes and we might have two or three bench players that end up getting close to 6th man type minutes.

aaaand he fouls out.

That's a surprising game from him nonetheless. Two in a row. He's actually passing the ball now. That's a promising development.

I wonder if we're seeing the game finally start to slow down for him? That would be nice. We could certainly use a young, cheap, rotation-worthy home grown big. Gonna be hard to always go bargain bin hunting for aging bigs just to fill out the team.

This team is one trade away from being very good. Webster is going to return to a crowded roster.

I really believe this season there could be a pretty major trade around the AS break.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Ariza played with CP3 in New Orleans and Kobe with the Lakers. Guess Ariza didn't teach Wall how to combine Paul and Kobe's talent into one ultra player.
