The only thing I ever read from "sources" was that we offered a second, and were being stingy about going to a first. But I could be wrong I guess.

That looked 100X better. Still a little hitch at the top, but it looked smooth going up. Body seemed to be adjusted right and he didn't shoot it when he was halfway coming down. If he continues to progress like this, he will be a multi year all star.

Man that jumper is much improved. He just needs to keep this up and keep improving. Mark Price is the man.

best thing about that jumpshot vid is the fact that he took it. decisive, organized, in control.

i like the high release on that shot. he let it go at the top of the arch, making it tough to block. previously that hitch allowed for a low release point as well as slow release made his jumpers super easy to block.

THIS.

MKG wouldn't have dared to try that a few months ago

I liked that fade away that he took in the 4th quarter better than this shot, and he missed it. Faded away, shot it at the top of his release, and hit the front of the rim.

I'm obliged the good folks at TNT NBA Hangtime presented this info to Clifford in their interview, so I'll just leave this here

Was really happy to read Clifford quoted a couple days ago stating something like "we are a better team with MKG on the floor". It gives me hope he'll stop benching him in 4th quarters.

I gave a much more emphatic fist-pump after MKG's first shot than any pre-season moment honestly deserves. Really hoping he puts it all together, and I think he's going to surprise some people this year.

How much do you think MKG will improve this year?

Post#1392 » by bwgood77 » Tue Oct 14, 2014 2:17 am

Many guys improve a ton in year three it seems (Markieff Morris comes to mind being a Suns fan) as well as Kawhi Leonard this past year and I could see guys like MKG (since he seems like a hard worker) and Drummond having mass improvements this year. Two years ago it was Wall and Paul George. Kevin Love and Harden the year before that.

I noticed MKG shooting well tonight and filling the stat board, doing the little things.

MKG will be our best player within 2 seasons imo.

He is a walking swiss army knife and now with his new found confidence in his jumper, we have a formidable player.

This. I always felt like MKG's talent was approaching a tipping point where all he needed to do was get a halfway respectable shot and everything would come together. I know that is how most of us felt but I think we will really see it this year. I expect Drummond to be the best center in the league in 2-3 years.

MKG literally has one flaw and that is his jumper.

His work ethic has been legendary at every level he has played at and if his jumper translates into the regular season, it is going to be folklore.

This guy is a freaking stud and he always has been, he's easily the third most important player on our team and has a very good chance of surpassing that this season.

With Lance here now, I'd say 4th, and he is one hell of a 4th player. We're going to be balling this year if his offensive improvement translates into the regular season.

Lance has to prove where he fits first imo.

Obviously he arguably has the most talent on the team.

Opponents having to respect his outside shot is/will be huge for his driving ability which is already good.
