I passed on TP in one of my leagues at 90-something. He wasn't a top 100 player last year but has shown he has the potential to be a fantasy stud.

I dunno, I wouldn't exactly call him a steal at 73. Pop pulled back his minutes and his numbers suffered.

David Lee on the other hand

Parker is still top 60 on stat averages without counting turnovers over the past couple years despite the off-performance by him last season.
This year he took the summer off, and should be a lot fresher after countless summers playing for the French team.

My main concern with TP and why I was letting others take him unless he *really* fell far in both leagues is just the Popovich plan and his age. No matter how well the old Spurs' players perform, they frustrate the hell out of me because you never know when Pops is going to give them a night off, or part of a night off. TP should be fresh but you could make that pick and then he gets limited minutes all season, random games off, etc. This admittedly scares me the most in a H2H format, because sometimes he sits those guys the last few games of the season which would be H2H playoffs.

I think that's what the numbers in the brackets are in the screenshot in the first post. Says I came 12th which makes sense because I lost internet for half of the season, but managed to scrape a couple of spaces up when I got it back.

Guards - Bledsoe, Holiday, Harden, Korver
Forwards - Deng, Markieff, Caroll, Antetokounmpo
Centers - Jefferson, Horford, Sullinger

Any suggestion for my last 2 bench spots? I know I severely lack in blocks and I'm thin on PGs.

2 center league, well you probably want another center with that last pick...your blocks are kind of light and you probably aren't getting 164 games out of Jefferson & Horford anyway (Sullinger's weak on blocks so far).

And definitely another PG too that's going to get some assists. That can be tricky this late in the draft, maybe a flyer on Kendall Marshall? I assume Jameer Nelson and Calderon are gone already, I'd take either of them before Marshall. Stuckey could be there but IDK how many assists he will rack up (though in all fairness, IDK how many minutes Marshall will get).

Just my basic opinion, I didn't spend a ton of time analyzing stats here.

Nor should you. I'm just posting for general opinions, and appreciate the effort. There were A LOT of reaches on PGs, that's how I ended up with only 2. There's not a single starting PG left, so either Marshall or Nash or trade :P I'm targeting Dalembert, Sims, Miles, Asik, Henson with my next picks, unless Gallinari falls onto my lap on 12th round, can't resist not taking him

I was kind of low on blocks in one league and got Dalembert and Henson with 2 of my last picks. I like Dalembert because he only got 20 minutes last year and 1.8 blocks and will probably get close to 30 minutes this year.

As Miklo said, Jameer Nelson for assists. He will start in Dallas and probably get about 6 assists and maybe a couple of 3s. You said there isn't a single starting pg left, so does that include Nelson? I think there is a decent chance Ramon Sessions ends up starting over Collison at some point in Sac, but he will at least split time with him.

b-ball forever wrote:The D-League draft was very strong. Actually better quality drafting in the d-league than in the premier league IMO, where for example Wade dropped to pick 69, or Iguodala dropped to pick 125!

Wheezy is the guy to beat in the D-league IMO. Obviously getting Durant with the 1st is a huge benefit, but he also rounded out his team nicely with a solid follow up, including a couple steals with D.Lee @72 and T.Parker @73.

I like my team a lot, even if injury risk is gonna be very high

Yeah, I kind of regretted not taking Wade at 68 in the Premier league after I saw Wade go at 69. But I was really focused on Calderon at that point because I love his high fg% along with 3s (which was my main point) which is rare and then you get the 5-8 assists as well. If I would have known Calderon would have been there at 73, I would have taken Wade at 68, but I thought Gaspar might take him. I guess I would have been happy with Wade at 68 and Korver at 73 though if Gaspar went Calderon instead of Korver (not sure he would have taken both).

That is a pretty damn solid line-up!

I noticed his was super solid. He pretty much dominated the D league last year.

Parkers missed games are a lot easier to take in a ROTO league compared to a H2H league though.

 in H2H playoffs, Spurs players can be devastating. i almost won against a better team a cpl years ago bc he had Lebron James and I had Tobias Harris-- due to Lebron's pre-PO resting Harris was easily the better player that week

Exactly H2H those DNP-CD can be killer. But in a roto league you can adjust and normally have more than enough games over the course of the year to make it up.

Here is an article that talks about Sessions and how he should have plenty of playing time. Last year splitting pg duties he averaged over 4 assists, but he may play some with Collison too if McLemore and/or Stauskas are not playing well.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2207 ... ns-signing

So I just decided to check the Kings board to see what they were saying about Sessions and saw they had a fantasy league going there too.

One of the team's names is GayCousinsSessions

I have him on a couple of yahoo public leagues too. I'm already thinking of abandoning those teams for the season.

That is what sucks about doing drafts so early. I typically run drafts right when the regular season is about to start. But we all get excited and want to start early.

Figures. I took him in the CBA. Hopefully not a big deal and will only miss a few weeks.
