Dragic's individual offensive production will go down this year, but it won't have anything to do with Frye's departure or be a regression on his part. It will simply be due to Bledsoe playing more games than last year, as well as the I. Thomas addition.

Dragic won't have to do everything by himself anymore, and so will be getting the ball less often and have lower stat levels as a result, but I actually see the Suns as a whole improving. Dragic should even actually play BETTER overall ball since the changes will let him save more energy for the defensive end of the court.

Meanwhile, Frye will be driving Magic fans nutz with his one dimensional play while Orlando misses the playoffs, and his contract will be a nuisance for them going forward instead of us.

Goran Dragic disagrees:

Dragic is quick to point out that the return of Frye — the team’s most vital spacing agent — has been central to Phoenix’s dramatic offensive improvements. “Last year he had some heart problems and couldn’t play with us, so when I played pick-and-roll I didn’t have that space guy,” he says. “This year, when we play pick-and-roll, Channing stretches the floor so I have room to operate; I can get inside the paint and make other plays for him and everybody else. He just gives us that spacing, and especially for me and Eric he makes things much easier because nobody can rotate from him.”

Finally won't have a 7ft player in the starting lineup just camping outside and shooting 3s all day.

I don't think it will be very hard for Tolliver to easily and efficiently replace Frye.

What does it say that Goran and Horny really liked having that player there?

That he was a good teammate and a very coachable player?

Look I'm not saying that he helped Dragic's play. But that doesn't mean our guys now can't replace that.

Frye was just good enough defensively to really make it work. It's entirely reasonable to believe Tolliver would give up more points on the defensive end compared to Frye which would offset more of the points we put on the board.

Dragic and Hornacek will really like having Thomas, Tolliver, Bledsoe, and rest of the team as well.

You guys can miss Frye all u want, he wasn't gonna get 32 million dollars in Phoenix (thankfully), and he is a very replaceable piece. He's Orlando's problem now.

We'll be fine, time to move on.

Enough to be in the mix for #7....#8...or....#9

You shouldn't expect much more than that, and the lack of Frye shouldn't be that influential.
What ? Me Worry ?
