Various Fangraphs writers have noted that Trout regressed defensively this season. It hasn't been reported anywhere else, because defense is entirely reputation-based to the Bob Ryans of the world.

Just like offensive categories, defense can vary from year to year. It's possible he has lost a step, or just had a poor year. He could be back on top of the defensive metrics list next year, and he could also steal 40 bases next year after stealing just 16 this year.

You know this isn't the first time we've lost a playoff game right?

wth does that have to do with that team hitting homer after homer not being fun(ny) for/to you?

learned.

yea, that guy said momentum was everything and then picked the As to win. Not sure what I could learn from him.

My apologies for thinking going home up 2-0 with a chance to sweep is different than going home tied 1-1, with a Game 5 mandatory and another matchup with Wainwright (not that he's been great, but why give him another bite at the apple?) mandatory.

but ya know....you're a Giants fan and you have to do your best to play the underdog role and make something out of that comment.
chill.
