Is the Lions defense for real?

Post#1 » by epheisey » Mon Oct 13, 2014 9:38 pm

As a life long Lions fan, I've come to be very skeptical of any short term success this team has. But this defense is starting to look legit.

Am I just drinking the kool-aid or is this Lions defense actually one of the best in the league?

I have predicted great things for your team this year. Do not rely on your defense. Put your faith in President Bush. Reggie Bush that is.

Best Lions defense in the Super Bowl era. The gap between them and the 2nd ranked D is bigger than the margin between 2nd and 7th.

Glover Quin gets zero publicity but he's a huge key. Playing more of a coverage specialist role this year, and deeper from the line. They've been beaten over the top exactly once all season. Once in 6 games. Last year it was once a quarter, at minimum.
It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

This late in the season I have to say yes. The Saints will be a very good test this week.

Spoken like a true USC fan.....let see if Bush is even healthy by the time postseason rolls around.

Oh yeah, for sure. His track record in the playoffs is spectacular. True game changer.

Selfishly I hope they continue this week.
