Why Does Everyone Hate Us?

lol..........have any of you noticed this. I mean true hate. The fans of the Raps, Bulls, and Bobcats hate us. The Cavs fans hate slowly dwindled but was starting to come back with the backcourt stuff, and is now full back with Lebron. Then the Hawks fans hate us too and think they are better. The Raps, Bulls, and Bobcats hate is deep though. I dont even really think much about them or get upset. Ofcourse you want to play and beat the best teams but I dont hate them. However, now their fans have made me hate them. I want to kill those teams just because of their fans.

Seriously though, if any thread on their board or the general board mentions our name, they go off. All our guys suck, we arent deep, we are overrated, they are clearly better, we will regress, be exposed, blah blah blah. Those teams get credit also and I don feel the need to blast them. I just dont get what our guys did to have everyone hate them so much.....lol

THe Bulls are incredibly bitter. Kinda strange, I get it was a tough playoff battle, but they're really over the top wit their hate for you guys.

Cavs - Mid 2000's history.
Bulls - Unnecessarily salty.
Hornets - Really you guys are fighting for the division, both I think are about 50 win teams, so I can def see that.
Raps -- ?? lol no idea.

Yea I haven't noticed that all. Not sure what boards you've been reading. I'd say most of the opinions on the Wizards is that they're a middle of the pack team. I haven't seen this "hate" you speak of.

You'll find bad eggs in every fanbase. There are a lot of good raps fans out there, there are some annoying ones but for the most part I like raps fans.

CHA fans are also OK by me. No reason to hate them or their team. They have suffered just as much as us.

Cavs and Bulls fans however...can lick my grundle. >:0

Maybe you're not looking at the right boards because there's definitely animosity towards us.

Particularly from Toronto and Charlotte fans.

They feel that the attention we got from the media after our playoff run wasn't justified.

Raptors fans feel like the the only reason we advanced is because we played a Chicago Bulls team that wasn't very good. If we had played Brooklyn we have been a a first round exit like they were etc etc.

Hornets fans basically feel the same way but with Raptors fans it's deeper and nastier imo.

Also think the (possible) KD2DC angle is playing a factor as well.

Volume of fans. One out of every ten fans is a dillweed, so if you have a gazillion fans you're going to have gazillion/10 jerks.

Don't take it personally. Chicago just has a lot of fans.

Numbers. Well, and Wall/Lowry comparisons, where the statistics show Wall is better. Losers = bitter.

Well, then link to these posts/threads, because the only thing I've seen on those boards regarding a Washington sports team isn't even Wizards related.

Well, then link to these posts/threads, because the only thing I've seen on those boards regarding a Washington sports team isn't even Wizards related.

Many of these comments are within threads not necessarily about us so I'll have to do a search later.

This goes for the Hornets too. The one win in difference between the Wiz and Hornets was the difference between being fodder for the Heat and playing the beatable Bulls. Those fans craved the positive national media attention after so many years of their team being considered the door mat of the NBA. The fact that the Hornets more or less manhandled the Wizards H2H last year doesn't help either.

It's not hate IMO, it is offseason and every fan has confidence about their own team's expectations.

Just go over to other boards and see what people say.. everybody downplaying Wizards in team boards and general board.

I still remember some Raptor troll that said Ross could guard Wall :lol:

Anyway. The answer is simple. They are our direct competition. I have no problem with it.

Lots of TOR fans are over zealous about there team but they have a legit chance to be good in a few years.
CHI is bitter we kicked their buts and Bone Crusher just Crushed Butler and Paul Paul took one of them out.
CHA also wants to be where we are.
CLE .. that has history. I doubt they hate us because they have the upper hand.

So it makes sense.

MIA isn't that way because they have been there.
NY knows they are rebuilding and has at least won something before.
IND is kind similar. They beat up but know they have challenges.

Its makes sense. Embrace the hate.
