I'm still not seeing Glens game translate to the role he would play in the NBA. Dude scores again weak competition when he can shoot a lot. That isn't his role with the Wizards. My gut says he doesn't fit here and it was a wasted pick/roster spot.

Hands, I think your gut is overreacting to a handful of preseason games. No, GR won't score like he did during the summer league, and I don't think anyone should expect him to. But he'll be fine.

Kid has to learn and adjust to a new role now that he'll likely be playing more minutes with the starters as a result of Beal's injury...as opposed to him coming off the bench and being asked to be a primary scorer with the bench mob.

Nice help defense there.

3 players got around him.
Temple was smart not the reach.
Otto cleaned it up.

Take that to go along with that nice block of a 3 pointer the other night and Otto looks like he will be able to get his share of blocks inside and out. And he has long arms so he should be able to get his share of steals.

He really is a baby Trevor A with better handles. I expect his game will grow a lot this year. He also has a good mind and puts in the work. And I think he will be mentally tough and focused. I think he is like Beal in that way.

He's got some Nicolas Batum in him as well.

Rice shot 3s well in summer league and in the Dleague. There may be an adjustment in real games due to nerves but he has shown he has the range to make them. He just needs to get comfortable playing with the big boys.

That might be Otto's best comparison player... esp if Otto hits the 3 well

I think Otto can be more of a scorer than Batum. He might not get the chance to playing here since he won't be much more than a third option most of the time. But he is a natural scorer with good instincts and a nice little variety of moves he can go to in several places around the court.

Here his role is going to be mostly be 3 & D and rebounding I think. And some inside finishing. But we're going to lean on that scoring ability from time to time when Wall and Beal are stymied or injured.
