Near the end of the 4th on an inbound DJ hit a 3 off a double screen set right at the corner arc. I think it tied the game. Kemba couldn't fight through and Josh didn't catch it in time. They ran the play later on in OT and Josh sniffed it out and got a hand up in the little midgets face and tipped the shot if I'm not mistaken. Helped us close them out and get the much needed win.

Check out the big brains on Chabber!

I took a look at that game and you're right. Great memory, bro. DJ made a three on a tricky out-of-bounds play with 5 minutes to go, making the lead 5 points for Chicago. Then in the OT, Thibbs attempts the same play when down 5 points and a minute left. McBob instantly senses it, completely leaves Gibson and blocks DJ from the side.

I'm glad you checked it. Makes me feel good that I got the majority of it correct or at least the parts that matter. It was a sneaky play which is why it stood out to me. Josh recognizing it may not seem like anything special but him being a 6'10" athletic big with a high bbiq sure helps in situations like those. It's just one example of the type of plays Josh makes that go unnoticed for the most part. Put in that same situation, I doubt any big on our roster this year makes that play.

:D It's time to unplug the middle spread the floor with 3 point shooters and have our best proven players on the floor.
Marvin Williams put up good numbers with Al when in Utah. Listen to the song ME and MRS Jones by Marvin Gay and you will understand.

If that's the case then Cliffy Cliff gonna have go change up his system of having his PF in the high post making the entry pass to Big Al and doing handoff brush screens with the guards. Messy Marv will have to basically take on MKG's role and stand in the corner and hope the ball is swung to him after he's all forgotten by the defense. That would be good for Marv tho because the less he has and the farther away he is from the ball the better.

Fixed and I don't think it matters where Williams plays, the PF is still probably going to clog up the paint playing Clifford's coveted McBob role for some reason.

I'm pretty sure the only thing that Williams excels at was picking the right college to help his draft stock.

You know who would've been a much better Marvin Williams for us, probably? McBuckets

To bad McRoberts would not take the two year contract. If he would have we would have him here.

Your statement is like saying you know who would have been better than Williams? Bosh. It does not matter if you can't get them here within your constraints.

We could have drafted McDermott so no, my statement isn't like saying that at all.

I think Vonleh will be okay (I have no idea why, our draft history screams otherwise) but Cho has been really ass backwards with drafting the past two years. Took the "NBA-ready" Indiana big when it made more sense to kick the tires on a higher ceiling guy like Noel and then drafted a really raw Indiana big when we need an NBA-ready guy to improve upon last season.

My mistake in reading it as McRoberts and not McBuckets. I just assumed since you were replacing our PF a you would have picked a player remotely capable of playing there at this level. If we took McBuckets it would have been to replace MKG and we would still have needed a PF. Not sure that pick makes a difference in Williams. I guess you could argue we go with a different FA PF since we don't need the shooting as much. We also lose MKG defense with your pick too.

McDermott is a lot closer to being an NBA PF than Williams is, IMO. MKG can guard a few 4's too.
