Yup, Smith is saying all the right things this offseason... but thus far his game has been mixed.

He seems like a player who reacts off instinct, and it's going to take a while to go from saying he needs to take less 3's to actually internalizing it so that when he gets the ball, his first instinct is to look inside or swing it to a team mate.

That is going to be 99% on the pg at this point. If Smith is hanging on the perimeter clapping for the ball, the pg has to get them into a real set, not just pass to the guy the defense is choosing not to guard.
