Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

I dont. I just cant see replacing one of the best 3pt shooters in the league with Temple, especially when you play with 2 low post bigs and a PG who isnt a consistent shooter. We need someone who is capable of spacing the floor. Temple's D will only go so far. We should be solid at that anyways

Rice is injured. Silas will get minutes anyway.
They are likely starting Temple and telling him... green light dude. shoot the 3.
I expect him to take at least 4 from 3 range.
Time is running out. They gave Glen and Silas looks. Temple is on the roster. He will get his chance to show if he can be the starter at SG opening day. He has started before when Beal was out. Of course they will consider it again.

Word is that Porter will start at the 2 tonight.
I can't complain and if it works well enough I wouldn't mind seeing it in carry over to the regular season until Beal returns. I just think GRJ has a bit of that Jordan Crawford in him. Not to the same extent of course, but I think he's a bench player. Just a little too eratic and forceful to play with our starters.

IDK if thats true but if it is, I will feel complete.....lol
The flip side is that we play against Stephenson, Evans/Gordon, and Shump to end the preseason. Especially against the first 2 games those could be some hard matchups. On one hand he wont have a size advantage on them like most SG's and they are some of the best ball handlers at that spot. Could be bad matchups for him but if he plays well then he should be ready. In the 1st game of the season we play Wade though so that could be a welcome to the NBA moment but I want to see it

Re: Wiz v Beez
lol........Temple it is.
I shouldve known. Witt just doesnt want to do it. Rice will be the starting SG. I wouldnt even be shocked if OP isnt even the 1st wing off the bench. Should be intersting to see if Temple leaves before Pierce, if Porter comes in or Silas. Im guessing Silas since this is what Witt has done so far.
Im not going to go crazy unless it cost us games or OP is getting limited minutes. Still, I dont get it. Hopefully Temple has improved his J

Re: Wiz v Beez
one thing that really upsets me though and why I thought Porter may not start tonight is because it was a report from J. Michael. Its being reported all over the web but if you really look at the source, he just says that Porter is likely to start but its clear that this idiot didnt get it from anywhere. He just assumed it because of the injuries. Even when he quotes Porter it doesnt sound like it was anything close to a sure thing. He asked Porter if he had been working at SG because of the injuries and OP just responds "a little bit".
To me it sounded more like he wasnt doing much SG stuff even with the injuries and wasnt likely to play much there but Michael took that as him taking reps and will most likely start there. I dont get it Witt just doesnt want to do it for some reason. Again, I wouldnt be upset if I was sure that OP would get more minutes then the other younger guys around him but I dont think that he will

Temple's defense is so damn good. Nonstop movement. Steps in at the right times. Cuts off so many lanes.

if Temple can hit that then he can start. The good thing is that we dont necessarily need another scorer with Wall, Nene, Gortat, and PP on the floor. As long as OP gets his minutes I can live with it. I just love his game. Also, Pierce has played well to me this preseason but people act like he's not. I dont get it but I love the combo of him an OP way more than Ariza and I was a big TA fan

I think some people are going to owe Otto some apologies....
President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Witt knows he needs a shooter but he's still and old skool defenesive first coach so I cold see him riding with Temple
