And possibly my fantasy team

When healthy, he is a terror. An expensive and all too often injured terror however.

Anyway, maybe the media has been talking about the wrong locker room this whole time. It's the only real explanation I can think of.

Reports out of Seattle now that he's gone by the homer media is that he was an attitude problem, hey too bad nobody saw this coming, oh wait, the Minnesota writers all said if you can't get along with Leslie Frazier you have issues

Re: Percy Harvin to the jets
Seattle is the big loser in this trade because it cost him a 1st to get him and they didn't even really get a season out of him or even half of one for that matter.
He was by far their most explosive playmaker and the lack of his presence is going really going to make their offense one dimensional.
The only thing that helps them is they do at least get a pick and get rid of his 10 million a year salary off the books.

Yeah- for a mid-round pick, it makes sense that he is a locker room cancer. He's too talented to go for a mid-round pick otherwise (even with that hefty salary).

Yep- Seattle is a pretty bid loser with losing that pick and the play maker that Harvin is. Seemed like the Cowboys focused on shutting him down last week (unless Harvin mailed it in) and it hindered Seattle's game plan. Seattle is good at manufacturing "shot plays" or plays in the passing game that go for big yardage though, so I don't think it will hurt them as much as one would think. One less headache to game plan for the 49ers which is nice.

I'm breaking my rule and listening to Seattle sports radio, I'll see if there's anymore rumors for the gossip hounds, but they gave up a number one and another pick and he counts 7.5 mil against the cap next year

No Percy & no Golden Tate, who is proving to have been a much bigger loss than I expected him to be (I was wrong about that guy in college). Seattle's offense is not what it was last year. The OL's still really good wen healthy though, so both games should still be nasty.

If my calculations are correct, they spent 14.5 million signing bonus + 2.5 million in salary last year + 6/16 of his 7.5 million dollar salary this year, which comes just shy of 21 million for a SB game they didn't need him anyway & 6 games this year when they lost 2 of 'em.
I'd say it was a bust of a signing.

...On a related note, the Niners could use a guy like Harvin to return kicks & play maybe 20 plays on offense. Maybe if he doesn't work out in NY...

His cap hit alone lowers what you can get for him at this point

Re: Percy Harvin to the jets
Seattle fans are going to spin this like they didn't need Harvin but I thought his mere presence opened up things for Seattle's offense.
Now the only thing to really worry about is Lynch. If you cans stuff Lynch and keep Wilson from burning you outside the pocket extending plays they are really going to be hurting on offense moreso than they already are.

Re: Percy Harvin to the jets
Not to switch topics, but the Cosell podcast with Doug Farrar was talking about how with Kaepernick and Wilson the offenses are less structured which is not a good thing in this way; since they break the pocket the receivers know they can't run a complex route because it quickly becomes a sand lot game where the qb breaks and the receivers have to look back and with disciplined defenses those offences are not as successful. I'm saying this because now with one less option Seattle is easier to defend.

@ChristensenDrew: This season, @DangeRussWilson completed 73.3% of his passes with @Percy_Harvin on the field ... only 53.1% when Percy was off.

I would say it's moreso with Wilson than Kap because of Wilson's height I think he needs the get himself in open space when the there is a lot of traffic around him which leads to their being more of a scramble drill where he thrives in buying time to get guys open.
With Kap I say we do run a structured offense but I think it's our offensive line and their inability to maintain pass pro for long which prevents us from running anything overly complex.
At time Kap bails on the pocket sooner than he should be I don't it being any different than when Rodgers or Big Ben scramble out of the pocket to extend plays. Especially this year as Kap has done a much better job keeping his eyes downfield when he scrambles and looks to throw instead of run.
