George Hill predictions

Post#1 » by EuroPacer » Wed Oct 15, 2014 7:55 am

As things stand, with PG out and no Lance Stephenson our back-court is going to be an interesting beast. I was wondering what would happen to the production and realised that if we are to have at least some scoring ability the one man who is going to have to stand up offensively is George Hill. I think we all know he can and was overshadowed due to his serving role the last few seasons - so here we are in need of predicting Hill's ppg.

I am going for 18 ppg on 41% shooting with a significant increase in 3s attempted.

What is your prediction?
Vogel is Dutch for Bird.

I look for him to do slightly better than a couple of years ago when he averaged 14.2 points and 4.7 assists per game.

I'll say just over 15 ppg, just under 5 apg and around 44% from the field.

I think he will use this year to prove his worth on a leadership role, but not much of an increase in production. 16ppg, 4.5rpg, 5.5apg, 1.5spg, on 42% shooting.

Some of these predictions seem really low on shooting. In the 3 years he's been on the Pacers he's had several different roles and has been extremely consistent in shooting. Each year his FG% has been 44.2, 44.3, and 44.2 again and 36.7, 36.8, 36.5 on threes. So I think we can expect similar shooting numbers.

My guess is he ups his scoring a bit to 17 or so, similar shooting say 43.5/35 since he'll have more defensive focus on him, and like 4-5 assists and same for boards. I really hope this season can be used to get his confidence back and show people he is worth his contract when hes playing a larger role.

I love the 10 assists part, although I don't think it is likely :)

Yeah we don't have the offensive weapons for him to even come close to 10 assists. The only consistent assists I think he'll get will be in pick and rolls with West. He's not going to average 6-8 more per game passing to Hibbert, Miles, and Stuckey. Which is fine, because we need him go back to being a scorer and get his confidence back so he can play aggressively.
