I know 5 Beatles songs. I can pick them out when I hear them. Sing lyrics, I'm sure. But to name them off the top of my head would be rather difficult.

It also takes me about 4-5 seasons of a tv show for me to start knowing characters names as well.

Have you watched The Wire? I have to wonder how you did with all the characters they had by the end of the series.

I just finished the wire after putting it off for a very long time. I thought it was excellent although I was dissatisfied with the ending. It really felt like there was meant to be another season.

Also, David Lynch and Showtime have both confirmed another season of Twin Peaks to air in 2016.

David Simon has said that they had an idea for Season 6, it being the Hispanic society of Baltimore, but ultimately decided that they had told everything they wanted to tell us. Moreover, one can't be sure whether HBO would okay another season of a series with poor ratings.

I don't know, The Wire gave me perfect closure. As heart-breaking as the last montage might be, he made his point about things not getting better in USA's capitalism and I accept that as an ending.

I agree, especially with the part about the criticism of American capitalism. I think the ending was fine thematically but there were a couple storylines that left me wanting more. I wanted to see what would happen with the Barksdale organization after Avon got out of prison and what would happen with the co-op in the wake of all that went down with Marlo.

I really wish that HBO, Netflix, or showtime would produce a modern show in the spirit of The Wire and what it was trying to accomplish and say. I think the themes and major points of The Wire are more relevant now than theyve ever been and I think it needs to be said how much farther and worse all the issues that series brought to light are these days.

It might have been a long time after Avon got out of prison after all those guns and criminals they found him with in the same room while he was on parole.

As for the co-op, I remember Slim Charles (a low-key character, yet one of my favorites) talking with Vondas in the ending of the montage so he got that far at least. Ultimately, not to sound too much like David Simon I hope, he probably would lose that position in a year or so anyway.

how about a crossover show where McNulty gets assigned to the Charming, CA police department where he tries to bring down those idiots on Sons of Anarchy by tapping Gemma's cell phone

Let's not get carried away here. You don't really watch Easy Rider, it's more like you thumb your nose at God by finding no better way to waste your time than watching Easy Rider.

How so? It has a huge significance in US film history having come right after the abolition of the Hays Code. Even if it is a bad film by your standards, I'd watch it solely because of its place in history.

Perhaps, something was lost in translation and I misunderstood you.

It's just not a very good movie at all. Just doddering hippies riding bikes and doing drugs. The only good thing about it is the ending which is completely nonsensical and weak as hell but it ends the movie so it's best by default.

Probably one of the most overrated movies of all time.

I just can't wait for Big KRIT to drop his album. It's going to be so great, I can feel it. That plus Joey Badass, Run the Jewels, maybe Kendrick and Kanye too, should be a great end to 2014.

I've been digging Vince Staples as well recently:
