Um no, Colt came in after Kirk. That's why he did good. Just like when Kirk came in for RG3, that's when they win.
I doubt Colt will be much better.

That looks about right from what I saw.

What was interesting was Kirk didn't get pulled after the second pick but they waited until half time.

Kirk made some really nice throws. Colt made one nice one as well. But it was pretty obvious that Colt was calmer out there. Maybe its just he has more experience. Maybe he is just a calmer dude. And yeah, he is quicker.

Kirk just seems like a tight kind of person.

Trade RG3 to the Cowboys or Eagles please...

Speaking as someone who's consistently been pro RG3 and still is - and never considered Cousins as a threat to him - you're posts have made very little sense - though I agree that Colt will probably not be much better.

I don't want to see any more regarding suspected racism (be it systemic or personal) and anything off the topic of Kirk Cousins and the QB battle in Washington will mean further action is necessary.

Trent Dilfer's been an NFL quarterback. Up until a couple weeks ago Dilfer was also high on Kirk Cousins. I'm not ashamed to admit when I'm wrong. Kirk had a lot of people's hopes up. Throw Joe Theismann's name in as another who thought Kirk was for real.

This season I have to admit he's failed spectacularly.

I still say wait and see how his career turns out. Cousins is a very intelligent guy. He's got a propensity for making great plays AND for making terrible plays. His mistakes might be correctable. Time will tell.

Cousins has the arm and accuracy to be a good QB in this league. He needs to SETTLE down in the pocket and go through his reads. I think the offense has much more upside with him as the QB rather than McCoy (conversely, there is much more downside as well).

Thats what B Mitch and the gang were saying post game about Cousin.

He can make specular good plays. And a few spectacularly bad ones. The later overrides the former.

If he was drafted to be a starter, he would have time to work it out. But as a back up, you don't get a very large window. QBs tend to get pigeon holed and because their windows are small, its hard to break out from back up status. It could take years.

I still expect him to start Monday unless RG3 looks amazing in practice.

Nah, I think McCoy will get all the starters reps in practice this week. Cousins got pulled for good.

I guess. I forget McCoy isn't a rookie. He has actually played more game then Cousins.

So sure. I guess they could do that.

CCJ you make some great points about Cousins. The one thing I continually see is his ability to make very difficult throws look very easy. However, his zone reading of the defenders is his greatest weakness. Unless Cousins figures out how linebackers move in zone pass plays, expect more interceptions.

Colt looked very capable of moving the offense down the field. I would loved to have known the inner thoughts of RG-3 when "The Real McCoy" threw that TD on his first pass as a Redskins. Does anyone think the performance by "The Real McCoy" will rush RG-3 back early.

I'm sure Rg3 was very happy seeing his teammate throw a TD pass.

It's only people like you who actually think players actively root against a teammate to succeed.

TGW can you remember Joe Montana and Steve Young or Favre and Rogers for just a few examples.

I don't know Robert's "inner thoughts" (obviously) but judging from the way he was celebrating on the sidelines I assume he was happy. :nonono:

The problem with Cousins is that he isn't good enough to be "the man" and if he feel like he has to be "the man" for the team to win(which he basically has to with our lack of run game and terrible D and ST), he presses, tries to do too much, and gags in horrible fashion.

I still think Cousins can start in this league, but it isn't gonna happen here. Unfortunately his trade value has gone down the toilet. I'm perfectly fine with him as a backup though.

I'd keep RG3 on the bench until after the bye. The recovery is supposed to be 6-8 weeks and he got hurt in Week 2, so after the bye would be over 8 weeks. Better to be cautious.

I think there's WAY too much "reporting" on Griffin's inner thoughts and feelings. I'm highly dubious of "reporters" and their unnamed sources. I think many of these guys are speculating and saying it's coming from "sources" so they'll appear connected and "in the know."

Here is my exclusive reporting on RG3's inner thoughts.

He knows he will be the starter as soon as he is healthy. When he is on the sidelines he wants the team to win and his replacement to do well.
