Hopefully MKG plays well again, need Al (our Al not their Al) to wake up

If Big Al is on his game, we should be in good shape. I think MKG can take Paul Millsap if he had to.

Man, Atlanta has been so underrated since Johnson left, they may be the 3rd best team in the east if Hoford stays healthy, heck they scare me more then Was. and Toronto

They're not the 3rd best team in the East, but they do scare me more than Washington and Toronto. For some reason we absolutely suck against Atlanta, I really hope that changes this year.

We suck against Alanta because they are a great outside shooting team, and as you can see from last night and last season one of our weakness on Defense is defending the 3 point shot on the weak side. That is my theory anyways

So far in the preseason (small sample size of meaningless games), Kemba & MKG have both been impressive, Al Jefferson & Lance Stephenson have been underwhelming, Cody Zeller & Marvin Williams have been about neck-and-neck, and Jannero Pargo has heavily outplayed Brian Roberts, if you asked me

I wouldn't put Kemba on the preseason impressive list at all.

I'd have PJ on there before him.

i know Al needs to get in rhythm, but i would not be opposed to sitting Al tonight and giving those minutes to Biz and Maxiel. Not sure we need Al playing in back to back games in the preseason.

in fact, i wouldnt mind if kemba, lance and marvin sat as well.

Out of all of the rotation players, Kemba has the highest PER (21.7), highest offensive rating (114.3), and the 2nd highest net rating (+13.1). Also, Kemba has a excellent assist to turnover ratio going so far (5:1)

BTW, MKG has the highest net rating at +13.7 while every other starter is in the negatives (Marvin Williams: -3.8, Al Jefferson: -9.1, and Lance Stephenson: -23.9)

I understand that Kemba may have set some high expectations or maybe he's easy to pinpoint with disdain, but he's been impressive. The team 'clicks' when he's on the floor

Nothing new. MKG and Kemba have been our most positive net players even last year. We just gotta hope Clifford give MKG more minutes this year.

I dunno, Kemba still isn't passing my eye test as a "proper" PG from what I've seen.

Kemba will never pass the eye test if you're looking for him to look as smooth as CP3 down to Rondo at distributing because he's more of a scoring PG, but it's all about the results and if the team play better with him on the floor and so far it has rung true. It would've been nice to have added a veteran PG behind him though

MKIA, where'd you get those stats from? Not disputing, just haven't found anywhere that has advanced stats for preseason games.

Kemba has been just fine to me. He's passing well. I'm just a little disappointed in his 3 point shooting so far but he's been solid. I wish he had the ball in his hands a lot more than Lance tho. They've been sharing the duties almost equally so far.

I don't have a problem with Kemba & Stephenson sharing the duties to help get the latter acquainted with the team, but I have been disappointed in Stephenson's overdribbling habits. I think he'll tune it down as the team chemistry go along

Pargo had a impressive stretch in very limited minutes with PER last regular season as well. He had a 18.9 PER for the season

Yeah i feel like Lance over dribbles because he dose not feel 100% comfortable yet in our system. Every time he overdribbles it seems like hes trying to figure out what he wants to do next lol. not complaining though, he had a better game last night.
