That was garbage time, though. That doesn't mean anything.

How am I insane? Amare played some of the best basketball of his life early in his Knicks tenure. When Melo got here he regressed greatly.

I think Amare is a shell of his former self now, but in 2010? He was a top 3 PF in the league and close to a top 10 player in the league.

I was a bit harsh, but I don't think he was on Melo's level at any point that year.

I definitely do. The Knicks also were a much better team before Melo got here. They actually moved the ball and ran the P n R very nicely. Once Melo got here everything went up in flames.

Not to say Melo isn't great, because he is, but our team was absolutely gutted. If it wasn't for Billups, we might've missed the playoffs LOL

Lol - y'all are a wreck.

That was some funky defense. We know Amar'e sucks on that end. Perimeter defense looks to be at issue as well.

He was also playing with a bunch of inconsistent players. It's a little bit easier having Nash as your running mate...

Nah no way. I see us sliding into the playoffs. I think we can compete, just gotta work out the kinks.

Yes, our defense is trash, but you get rid of JR Smith and 1 of Amare & Bargnani, and you bring in some defense, and we can win 50 games or so.

Right now I see us at around 40-43 wins

ill

I want the lotto

I dunno if I want the lotto. Knowing the Knicks if we get a top 10 pick, we'll pick some guy who would've been on the board at #27 lmao

Did anyone else not think Larkin playing extended mins was the problem tonight between him and Jr smith letting mayo look like thj in the second quarter, I think that was our problem amare played well tonight he was active rebounded made his shots, but we did missed dalembert, if fish wants to start amare we need someone to protect the rim acy needs to be 4 inches taller if fish has a man crush on him and wants to play stat at the same time

You're arguing two different points, though. The team was definitely better before Melo, because of what we lost in the trade (which you mentioned) and because Melo wasn't made for Pringles' offense. The other point, which I disagree with, was that Amar'e then was better than Melo now.

Quoting Howard Cosell: "Amare is now but a shadow of his former self".

Damn does he look lost out there....

Anyone thinking that he's being showcased?

I can't tell if you are making fun of my love for Shump or if you truly believe that. If it's the first, rude. If it's the second, you're crazy  :(

It's totally possible. You just lack the patience to do so.
