Preseason Discussion

Post#1 » by bwgood77 » Thu Oct 9, 2014 3:15 pm

I know it's hard to take the preseason seriously, but I find it a little odd that the Spurs starter all played around 30 minutes last night and they lost to Berlin.

Also odd to see that Sullinger and Olynyk both hit three 3s.

I think the Spurs let them win to make up for Danny Green's Holocaust museum fiasco.

I'm always most interested in the rookies when I watch preseason. Who's showing the goods?

Jusuf Nurkic had 15 rebounds in 16 minutes last night. Didn't watch the game, but I did notice some smart positioning by Nurkic in the one play he was in in the highlights. Color me impressed.

You could see we lacked rim protection last night - Alex would definitely have helped in that area. Rim protection may be an area where Len has the advantage over Nurkic. But I was wondering on draft night if we would regret passing on the big fella. A rebound a minute. Nice.

They don't want to run in the preseason.

Wow, Mason Plumlee with 17 rebounds in 30 minutes tonight? http://espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=400584003

Also Amare with 3 assists tonight! Impressive for him!

Don't forget #collins too

Atleast, we rectified past decisions and signed #telfair a little while back
(yes, he had a brother that had a brief stint in the NBA during the early 2000s #jamelthomas)

I think drafting Markieff proved we got it right when it comes to brothers, at least once, and at this point in their careers, I would take Robin over Brook for the sheer fact he seems to be able stay healthy.

I went dyslexic for a second and read "Alex Len fractures back", I almost fell out of my chair. I guess I am just used to what seems like constant setbacks. Good for him, I have faith that he, Goodwin, and Warren will play major roles on a future contending Suns team.
