It doesn't matter what position you need - throwing a bloated contract at that problem will come back to bite you.

How many times can I re-post this?

Trade Josh Smith + 2nd round pick/Singler for a young & athletic 3-point shooting SF after the first two games of the season. Hopefully he averages 18-8-5-2-2 the first two. lol

We MUST do something... Our roster can compete for a 5 or 6 seed this year by turning Smith into a SF and Caldwell-Pope continues his outstanding play.

C - Drummond / ??? /Anthony
PF - Monroe / Jerebko
SF - ??? / Butler / Martin
PG - Jennings / Augustin / Dinwiddie
SG - Caldwell-Pope / Meeks / Dinwiddie

If there had been "a young @ athletic 3-point shooting SF" available, Stan would have gone after him with a vengeance. And if a guy like that were available via trade, I'm sure that team would gobble up our rejects.

I can be non-sarcastic. It just frustrates me when a trade proposal is that vague. Everybody here would like us to get a legit starting small forward. The posts that interest me are the ones that name a specific target, reasons you want That Guy -- and what we could offer that makes the trade tempting for the other team.
