Ugly first quarter. Love needs more looks.

Love isn't going to take it well if he gets limited touches while Dion keeps chucking up more shots than him. The Cavs are playing with fire if things go down that road.

I think (hope) that things settle down in the regular season. It looks to me like half the team was phoning it in tonight.

Also, though it is so, so easy to jump down Waiters' throat for his forcing shots, the kid has been hitting them (6-10, 3-4 3s) tonight. I wonder how many times he has to be reminded he is a much better shooter when catching the ball rather than trying to create.

Perhaps things would run more smoothly if Waiters came off the bench again. He could get his shots without starving Love.

Frankly, the Cavs would be better off long term if they traded Waiters for a 3 & D guy. Dion is playing for his first big contract and understandably wants to put up the best numbers he can. However, while K Love wants to win, I don't believe for a second that that includes him being marginalized. Love is extremely prideful. The chance of him leaving Cleveland if he feels slighted is very real. Losing some shots to LeBron and Kyrie - no problem. Losing shots to Waiters - problem.

I kind of enjoy the problems four guys who can go off for 30+ on any given night creates for defenses. But, your point is well taken.

A cunning plan indeed.

Exactly!!!!! I really think they should move Dion to the bench and let him do what he does best with the 2nd unit because there is no way in Hades he should be getting more touches than Love.

While I do think that Waiters will take some bad shots I'm not so sure that last night was the night to use as an example. I thought he was pretty good both shooting and creating for others.
