Which of Niko /Doug impacts more 2014/15? (Option added)

Based on what I saw in the preseason it seems to me that Nikola is more ready than Ray

Well I saw that YouTube about Doug's defense. There were some obvious breakdowns. He has some on ball issues highlighted, which were not as bad as the off ball issues. Although on the ball he might be adequate at times. From the naked eye though live watching, I noticed some guys getting open shots around him. He didn't rotate or was late on a closeout etc. Seems like if he makes a mental mistake, he lacks the athletic ability to recover. Mirotic has much better on ball defense and is more athletic quick reacting otherwise. I would say the opposite, Mirotic is more ready on defense.

i just get the impression that Doug knows where to be, knows the system better, Mirotic has better tools, but i get the impression than he was not where he had to be at times, so the team defense suffered, although he had some great blocks, and steals and is pretty quick for his size!

They both dont know the defense well enough to start, that's for sure

Niko's often late rotating to cover strong side access to the paint if the other big has been pulled out of position, but otherwise he's been okay (apart from fouling too much). Pau has the same issue, and Nazr also did when we first got him so I'm hoping they're just adapting.
