The bigger problem is that he has mid or short range J around the key area and has limited ability to keep his dribble alive in the lane ala Nash/Paul or even a Conley. He also has a habit of crossing over back into the middle directly in front of where the big man who set the screen would be rolling.

He CAN be, but he often calls for the screen too far out, doesn't always use it right to scrub the defender and he often, and I mean often, waits WAY too long to even try to use the screen. And the habit you mentioned is also frustrating. I guess it's the inconsistency of his approach that irks, because now and again, we see him driving around the screen very effectively.

Casey literally RUINED Lowry. He was DOMINATE in his first month here, then Casey started benching him for Calderon... Disgusting... REALLY disgusting :/

Per36 in Houston Lowry was a 16/7/5 type point guard.

I truly hate this line of thought. Coaches don't ruin players, they either play them or don't play them depending on how good they are in their system. Lowry has bought in to Casey's system and he gets plenty of minutes (a career high in fact). He's just as good, if not better, than the player he was in Houston - his current Drtg is the best of his career and his Ortg second only to his rookie season, he's .2 off his career high in assists and has a career high in steals. In addition, now that he's learned to play a more controlled game, he's likely to have a longer career.

I registered for the sole purpose of defending Kyle Lowry. I am so high on him, he has played very well this year and so I go online and find out that everyone hates him?!?

Dude is a top 10 PG and it's barely debatable, he is absolutely top 12 and that is undebatable. He doesn't really have any weaknesses in his game. Sets up the offence very well, gets the ball to the right guys and shoots the 3 well, one of the top defending PGs in the game and a top rebounder for the position too. How you can hate a guy that does everything so well is beyond me.

His weakness is that he cannot play pick'n'rolls all that well. He doesnt know how to use screens to their full advantage and has a tendency to gamble bit too much on defense.

Y'all can say what you want, pull stats out your rear end. I for one enjoy his toughness and grit, is he a star point guard? No. He is however a pitbull who never gives up and fights for every possession, as a fan I can appreciate that and get behind him.

I think if we trade Rudy Gay, the real Kyle Lowry will get to flourish.

Kyle Lowry is better then 5-6 players from the list above. I really liked the trade we did to get Lowry but now that hes on our team i only see him as a three pointer shooter who cant run a pick and roll or shoot mid range shots. This is a contract year for him and he hasn't shown me the ability to score the ball effectively .PLUS i question his leadership abilities he always screams at Jonas lol

I'd say he is only better than the Turd and maybe Ridnour.
He is on par with Felton and Nelson.
Everyone else is better than him, including Steve Blake and Jose.
