I really hope Taj Gibson becomes available again considering that the Bulls fans are looking for a shooting guard (Gerald Henderson)

They would probably want Hairston in that deal as well.

They'd want Zeller and Hairston (and Hendo to make the money work).

I wouldn't do if they wanted PJ as well, i dont want Neal as our only other SG besides Lance

I'd rather not make the Bulls stronger.

I don't want any of our young players involved in a trade that could bring us to an all out treadmill with no upside. At least with the team we have now we have upside in a lot of our young players. Trading any or 2 or 3 of them for an aging vet doesn't really do that much right now and definitely doesn't do much in the future in my opinion

I would be OK with dealing Hairston because Lance is young at SG but I would first want PJ to raise his trade value. Another place we have a surplus is PF with Zeller because Vonleh. So I'm OK with Zeller and PJ raising their value and dealing them at the deadline but not for Taj nor West. I'd want a younger or more dominant player in return.

I wanna keep PJ. He's the very definition of a 6th man. I could see his stock getting high once he fulfill that role for us and then we'd be able to trade him in a package for a big piece or keep him as a valuable 6th man. I'd trade Neal, Hendo, or Zeller (because of Vonleh) before PJ.

I do too.
If the Hornets want to round out their starting line up then i feel him or Boozer would be the perfect people to go after.

The only one I don't mind moving is Zeller but only if we get a solid PF back in return. The Henderson and Zeller for Taj trade works for me. If we had not taken Vonleh then I would mark Zeller off too. We have double youth at PF so moving Zeller is ok since we still have potential there IMO.

Thoughts on Taj

I am a huge Taj Gibson fan. If I was the Bulls, I'd do what I could to keep him happy as the 1st big off the bench, playing for a championship level team. But maybe they know Taj wants to start and maybe they know he was willing to accept coming off the bench for Boozer last year because he still played all of the minutes in the 4th quarter. This year, I cant see Taj getting crunch time minutes over Noah and Gasol (if those two are healthy, which is a big if). Is Taj going to be happy sitting on the bench during the end of games?

Henderson and Zeller for Taj would actually make a lot of sense for both teams, if the Bulls were motivated to move Taj. The Bulls have enough shooters now with Mirotic, McDermott, Hinrich and Dunleavy that they dont really need Hendo to space the floor. Henderson fits right in with what they want to do defensively and gives them another wing stopper to help Butler. Zeller gives them some depth behind the bigs and wont get disgruntled coming off the bench. Taj obviously is an upgrade over Marvin and Zeller and should immediately start for us. He doesnt really help our spacing issues, but he gives us so much more in terms of defense and scoring. This move also opens up some time for Hairston on the wing.

If we get Taj for Hendo and Zeller I would bet Vegas $1000 that we'd win 50+ games this season and another $1000 that we make it out the 1st round of the playoffs.

I get the Taj and (insert Bucks big here) talk but to be honest, the guy that I would absolutely cream myself if we acquired is none other than...

Jon Leuer. No seriously, he's cheap, has range, can blow by people, and protect the rim a little bit. He's basically everything we want Zeller to be. I'd do something like Zeller and Neal for Prince (expiring) and Leuer in a heartbeat. Free up some minutes for PJ, add some veteran depth at SF since Taylor is a mystery man and have a PF perfectly complementary to our team.

haha, funny you should say that. I also love Jon Leuer's potential. I don't know whether I am overreacting on the guy having a few good games when he actually got the PT, but he does seem to be the type who'll surprise everybody once he breaks out of Memphis and finds a place where he regularly gets 20+ minutes.

there's a reason why I kept him on my serious fantasy league team last season and didn't waive him even if he didn't produce in that crowded front-court every week.

he's exactly everything we want Zeller to be.

That's a adverse trade that would probably look bad in the shortsighted eye, but would reap benefits now & into the future. I just don't see it possibly happening since Cho love Zeller and Clifford love Neal. I'm not a big fan of this proposal, but I'd do it in a last ditch effort around the trade deadline if Zeller hasn't shown to be a better starting PF than Marvin Williams and Neal's chucking ways become more aggravating than beneficial

If we can add either West or Taj I would cream myself.

My logic for wanting Leuer is airtight:

Every time I see Leuer play he has a good game
I watch ~95% of Charlotte's games
∴ Leuer would be a GOAT Hornet.

That's how it works, right? Right?

Leuer's not bad, but I don't think he's a guy you give up actual value for.

At most, I'd probably trade Taylor, 2nd, and give Memphis the rights to swap 2015 1sts with us.

I'd much rather go after Taj.
