Marvin Williams.....what exactly does he bring to the table?

This was a panic signing by Cho. Its going to take a lot for him to prove it.

Not going to complain, don't need his bum ass in the rotation anyway. Didn't watch the game, but the stats look like he had a bad Ben Gordon night with a few extra assists. 1-11, and allowing a scrub like CJ Miles to make it rain all game.

Hes played well this preseason and although he shot poorly got others involved very well.

Dunno what he said but the official tossed him quickly.

"I earn my money." Presumably.

Missed the game last night but this thread doesn't sound very encouraging about the team's effort. I hope the mysterious absence of Biz was just to decide on the fate of Maxiell's roster spot. Based on what I've seen in the preseason Biz definitely deserves to be in the rotation over Maxiell, we need his size and interior defense. A Zeller/Maxiel second unit will be a layup line, I'm sure coach Clifford realizes that as well.

I heard Clifford say "Maxiell changed the whole game when he was out there" during his postgame interview. Talk about words that are casually, slowly, and intentionally trying to spell the end of the Biyombo project in Charlotte

the hornets need to look into trading biz before they torpedo any value he has left. i cant recall clifford saying anything positive about biz in the offseason or preseason. its possible the coaches and front office are just ready to move on if they feel that biz just isnt progressing fast enough, which appears to be the case.

I would certainly hope not. A ignorant & conniving part of my mind kind of hope Al Jefferson's ankle soreness turn into a 4-6 week absence at some point in the season to keep it from lingering, in which Clifford will be forced to play Biyombo 30 minutes a night, in which he'll turn into a month stretch of averaging 6 points, 12 rebounds, & 3 blocks while the Hornets win at least .600 of their games with him in the starting lineup

Who am I kidding? Clifford would probably start Maxiell over Biyombo if that unfortunately ever happened anyway

I will have VERY little faith in our bench if we trade Biz at any point during the season. Having someone like him that can hold down the defense coming off the bench is something very few teams have. He must be a dick in real life or the team for some reason doesn't like him. It's the only reason I can think of why we have so little invested in his future here. He has proven on the court that he is a good rebounder, defender, and shot blocker.

I think we have invested a ton in Biyombo and given him every opportunity to succeed.

Depending on how you choose to view it, I think Biyombo has succeeded. Biyombo had a decent year last season reserving Jefferson. There's not many backup centers that I'd rather have on this team other than Biyombo

I wouldn't be surprised at all if we let Biz walk after the season and draft another big to replace him (the 2015 draft has lots of PF/C talent)

I've honestly been wanting Biz to get traded ever since Clifford inexplicably played Adrien over him. I think Clifford secretly harbors a grudge against Biz for having his good games against Dwight Howard as a Magic or something.

I have to seriously question Clifford's thought process if he'd rather play Zeller or Maxiell at C instead of Biz. I think our lack of size (T-Rex arms, in Zeller's case) will be become pretty self-evident with that lineup.

If we had better options who could hold down the fort on defense it would be different. Hopefully if the coaching staff has completely soured on using Biz we can find a way to flip him for someone who they are willing to use in that role. I'd prefer to keep him though, and sign him on the cheap this offseason. But I'd also never play Maxiell or Zeller at center.
