Jordan Hamilton and P.J. Hairston are similar scorers, although Hamilton is a little bit better of a scorer inside of the arc as Hairston might be the better range shooter of the two. Having Hamilton & Hairston as firepower off the bench could be lethal

We could have Triple H off the bench (Henderson,Hairston and Hamilton)

Now this was before my time. I was born in 84, but this still was during a time of some insane NBA talent. As in Chamberlains 100 pt game, etc was not.

After more research I think Fat Lever is the most underrated player of all time. Just look at his stats. Dear Lord.

LP just received 100 bonus points. time for the obligatory posting of the fat lever video that lamar made.

31pts, 16reb, 12ast, 6stl vs jordan

this video does a great job of highlighting lightning quick hands, first step and his solid mid-range jumper

26pts, 10reb, 9ast vs lakers in playoffs

this video does a great job of highlighting his amazing array of runners and floaters as well as his devastating fast break skills.

the best way i can describe his game using current players would be:

size, speed, quickness, runners, floaters of tony parker
not quite as good of a shooter or scorer as parker, not as good in pick and roll

defense and rebounding of rajon rondo
not quite good of pure playmaker as rondo, but much more willing to play off the ball, better in transition, rondo likes to pound the ball and keep for assist or shot, fat is from the school of pass, drive, shoot, move, constant motion, non-stop passing.

the personality and tenacity of gerald wallace, play hard, and push the pace on fast break by grabbing rebounds and flying down the floor, quiet, humble. nose for the ball.

first time i have seen this video. awesome. what a great video about his life. MUST WATCH!!!
"bust your butt and make everyone else look better"

such a shame he tore his ACL twice in a 3 year span at the peak of his career.

Another guy I've been campaigning for as a complement to Al. He's a little underrated, just needs to mature/get confidence.

I used to like this guy as a prospect, but Blazers fans insist he is 100% useless.

It probably couldn't have been an ACL injury (perhaps it was a sprain) that time, but I do remember that he injured his knee during the '85 playoffs in conference semi-finals G3 against Utah, had knee surgery and came back 13 days later to play against the Lakers in the conference finals completely hobbled.

They got destroyed by the Lakers in 5 games but nevertheless that was a very good Denver team. Alex English in his prime, two defensive beasts in Fat Lever and T.R. Dunn (unfortunately, they played for Doug Moe and didn't get to showcase it a whole lot ), Calvin Natt in his career year, one of my all-time favourites (who also played on one leg due to a knee injury and despite an expiring contract, still managed to score 20+ every game), solid 80s center Wayne Cooper and a very forgotten all-star big Dan Issel playing his last season.

you think that rushed knee surgery in 85 could have had something to do with his two major knee blowouts when he was with the mavs (91 and 93 i think)?

I'm not a doctor but one would think that it didn't help.

What bothers me is why did Lever post such pedestrian stats (7/4/3) his first four games for the Mavericks before he injured his knee? He was coming off an all-star year in which he averaged 18/9/5 being 29 years old, yet Dallas started Rolando Blackman and Rodney McCray, who, granted were two good players, but one of them should have been behind Fat.

Or did he start the season injured as it is and they decided after four games that it isn't worth it? That would seem odd. But then again the sudden dip in his stats before the actual surgery happened is odd as well.

I've never seen a game in which he was playing for the Mavs.

Felton has 2 years left on his deal. I expect they trade to trade him and waive Ledo or Villanueva instead.
