I think our bench will have to be real strong in this one--specifically Randle and Ellington. We'll need their scoring in order to be competitive.

First of props to my boy Big Game for the sweet GT and candy !

OK now the real...

The keys to this game are simple, for one we have to rebound to control the tempo. The Rockets want to run and they're only dumping it to Howard when they can't get out in transition. But slowing them up is what we want.

Next we have to capitalize when their bench is in, the Rockets lack real depth at the 5,3 and 1 off the bench. Our bench is not as strong now, but we have more than they do with just Julius alone as far as a guy capable of getting a solid 15-18 points. Plus they got nobody to check him.

Lastly the Lakers have to control the emotional side of things, that means Kobe and Jeremy will just need to let it flow to them....and I know they will.

I know the crowd will be charged because Kobe never got the chance to face Howard since he left, hopefully they take that energy and turn it to defense. Because that's gonna be another factor. In closing I hope Clarkson gets some burn, please no Sacre time for Byron to break out the handcuffs and lock his ass down.

Let's get it....time to take a s**t on everybody's shiny new season, because nobody expect us to do squat anyway.

Yes, Haren is the laziest of defenders, just keep running around and score easy baskets. Don't dribble and pass too much tho.

Injury Update (10/26/14)

Only 10 players will be available for the Lakers in their season opener against the Houston Rockets.

Wayne Ellington (concussion) and Ryan Kelly (hamstring) have both been ruled out for Tuesday’s matchup. They join fellow injured Lakers Steve Nash, Nick Young and Xavier Henry.

Ellington suffered his injury during a collision with Sacramento’s Ben McLemore in the fourth quarter of Friday’s preseason finale. Kelly has missed the entire preseason due to injuries to both hamstrings.

Lin Starting
Though Ronnie Price (knee) is probable for Tuesday, Jeremy Lin will start in his first game with the Lakers. Lin averaged 12.4 points and 6.2 assists in five preseason contests.

Unfreaking REAL!!!! Its the young guys that are injury prone. Also doesnt make even more sense why we cut Roscoe Smith when we only have 10 available bodies for the start of the season. Man isnt the idea not to play Kobe heavy minutes?
