Congratulations to Club Leon on winning Liga MX's Apertura 2013, their fifth primera division title! Coming a year and a half after promotion to Liga Mx from el Acenso. They beat Club America last night 3-1 (5-1 aggregate) in Estadio Azteca.

Chivas losing to America 4-0 tonight.

I think that plus the embarrassing show the supporters showed last week at Estadio Jalisco can easily make this their worst week in franchise history. At least in the Jorge Vergara era, this is rock bottom.

In case you missed it, last week Chivas supporters got a in a huge fight with policemen at the Guadalajara derby vs Atlas that sent several cops to the hospital. All Chivas barras are now banned from every home and away Chivas games.

Leones Negros de la Universidad de Guadalajara will play in Mexicos first division next season! Im **** stoked! Very few things for the city of Guadalajara to celebrate in soccer for the past 3 years. Now all we need is Vergara to sell Chivas to someone who knows how to run a team.

It really helps when just about every basic cable package carries almost every game every week (including domestic cup and CCL matches) They make fans of just about every latino-american in the US. I have Guatemalan, Salvadorian, and Honduran friends who follow the league religiously just because how easy it is to watch around here. Not so much for MLS, though.

Yeah, not too mention there is a lot of South Americans playing in the Mexican league..so you get a lot of the audience viewership there as well.

Ecuador has a lot of their main players playing in the MX league. Also, Liga MX has exported players like Jackson Martinez & Enner Valencia.

Tigres Campeon! I never thought they would do it in such a way after a 3-0 first leg. Their heavy spending in the off-season really paid off.

Liga MX Clausura playoffs continue tonight! (Saturday May 14th)

Monterry host Tigres. Monterry won 3-1 in the first leg
Leon host Monarcas. These teams are tied at one in the aggregate.

On Sunday,
Pachuca host Santos. These two are tied at one on the aggregate as well.
and the Main event of the weekend, el Super Clasico Mexicano,
Club America host Club Deportivo Guadalajara, who tied 0-0 in Guadalajara earlier this week. A very physical game and we can expect more of the same. I highly recommend this game to anyone interested in league, it always a treat watching these to go at it. Sunday at 7pm EST

Even before the first leg, I said the winner of this series would go on to the final. Even with Tigres being the eighth seed, i see them as a top 2-4 team in these liga mx playoffs. Seeing Monterrey beat them like that makes me think that they're cruising to the final. Anyone but America, I'll be okay with :D

Not sure if he's been the best player on his team! I'd say his paisano Dorlan Pabon had a better season. Now i see why you're rooting for them.

Really can't help you on that one. Most basic cable packages here in the states carry every channel that carries Liga Mx games. I've never had to look around the internet to watch Liga MX. Good luck finding something though, there are some really exciting games coming up this week.
