I think the best move to make is to jump in on the J.J. Barea sweepstakes, as he is working on a buyout from the Timberwolves. He is by far the best option available, and can come in and be a game changer with his speed, shot making ability, and getting into the paint. Come on Billy King, put your bid in on Barea!

I don't see JJ Barea fitting into what we're doing.

An inconsistent, undersized combo guard who capitalized off a nice Finals run with the Mavericks and can't play a lick of defense. I'll pass.

His last 3 years in Minnesota he averaged 10.3 pts per game and 4.5 ass per game in only 22.3 mins per game. To me thats not too shabby or inconsistent. He may not be the best defender, but he is way better at creating shots for others and making shots for himself compared to Gutierrez.

oh i totally get what you are saying about 3rd string point gaurds. they should never play unless injuries or multiple injuries happen. but thats exactly why i dont want gutz in that role...

you get a veteran in here. someone who isnt capable of playing 60+ games. they are happy to just sit and be depth, and if they do get a chance, you have someone who is capable who has been there before.

gutz is better then teague, but i think that contrast gives the opinion that gutz isnt also a horrible player who doesnt belong in the league

guts is the opposite of what i want. a young green player who hasnt played through tought series(sitting and watching doesnt count) and who is terrible in all phases of the game.

what happens when jack or dwill go down? thats the entire point of 3rd string players. i wouldnt call dwill an ironman to where him getting injured is obsurd.

gutz has almost 0 chance of ever being a backup let alone a starter and its not like he is a potential PG of the future. his role on this team makes no sense. i hope he we upgrade that spot to a veteran
