I like Lowe but think he's drinking the kool-aid here regarding LeBron a bit. LeBron is a great player and will be missed but I think he's way overstating the loss, especially on defense.

Oh and since Wade has been back in 08, we were never below the 5th seed and have won 47 games in 2010... with worse players... Wade was on fire but he still had a huge ass load to carry. It isn't that way now. I'm hoping for 50 wins, but we might have some bad losses cause of lack of chemistry issues.

It's just weird how out of touch people are with this team. They really thought LeBron was THE WHOLE team. He played a huge role for sure, there is no doubt about it. But to think this Heat team won't be competitive cause he left, when the Heat WERE competitive before he came here, is just ridiculous.

Yeah, funny how the narrative went from "How much help does LeBron need?" to "LeBron needs more help!"

I've never wanted to punch someone in the face so badly. Really hoping to run into him at a game one day. I won't hesitate.

Height: 6'7?, really?

Here you can take a look at the full biography of Khem Birch:
http://www.nba.com/playerfile/khem_birch

Height: 6'10''/ 2.08m (and still growing)
Weight: 215 lbs./ 97.5 kg (he needs to gain 25 more pounds)
Born: September 28, 1992
From: Nevada-Las Vegas
Draft: 2014
NBA Debut: N/A
Years Pro: 0
Previous Teams: N/A
Prior to NBA/Country: Nevada-Las Vegas/Canada

What you saw in Joel was the final product of his NBA career. Therefore, for Birch (22 years old) to be compared to Joel at this early stage of his career, and for someone that hasn't been coached until recently, tells the whole story. He appeared in six exhibitions, averaging 1.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.17 blocks, as well as one assist and one steal, in an average of 16.9 minutes. All he need is to score an average of 8 points per game and gain 25 more pounds in less than two years. How much will pay any GMC to sign a player like that?

How bout instead of using player heights from NBA.com which are literally just whatever the team says we use the actual measured height from an unbiased source like the Draft Combine

Birch measured 6'7.5 barefoot and also what do you mean still growing? How many guys are still growing turning 23 years old?

Technically Birch just turned 22 but it's whatever lol

Haven't heard if he joined the DLeague team or not

UNLV and draft express have him at 6'9, as well as other websites... even when you google "Khem Birch height" 6'9 comes up

I doubt the Heat would really get some guy who is 6'7 and to be Center even in summer league lol

Is there going to be a regular season thread?
