Hammers: Hornets vs Bucks

Post#1 » by Liver_Pooty » Thu Oct 30, 2014 2:11 am

Gold - Marvin Williams - 8-12 from the field for 19 points with some clutch shots? Awesome
Silver - MKG - Could have easily have gotten Gold. Great game
Bronze - Wanted to give it to Lance for his 13 rebounds and 8 assist, but this has to go to Kemba

I can't give the gold to anybody but Kemba. I know he struggled but that might be the most clutch performance I've watched a Bobcat/Hornet put on. MKG showed off a world of potential, and Marvin had an amazing performance for my standards. Lance gets one of the biggest Honorable Mentions I've given. His all-around performance was great and the play he made after getting hurt was special.

Kemba
MKG
Marvin
HM: Lance

Gold-MKG
Silver-Marvin
Bronze-Lance

Kemba hit the game tying shot and the game winner, but he had a bad game overall. I can't give him a hammer.

Gold: Marvin. Extraordinary efficiency and big shots during the rally.
Silver: Kemba. Shooting % was atrocious but lack of TO's and those two clutch shots at the end earn him a silver.
Bronze: MKG

You guys giving Kemba the gold need to step back and think some more about the entire game, not just the end. Kemba scored 26 on 26 freaking shots and 11 free throw attempts. If he had played even an average game we would have never had to go into overtime. He doesn't deserve a hammer this game. sorry.

I gave him a Bronze simply over the shot sending us to OT and the shot in OT. Other than that he was pathetic, so I mostly agree.

you need to step back and think about how Marvin Williams hitting wide open shots is nice and all but utterly meaningless now and in the long run if we don't have a guy like Kemba that can hit shots like THAT

In Marvins defense he was a massive part of our 24 point comeback.

If their wasn't a such thing as fatigue and Kemba never had to go to the bench, we wouldn't have gotten down by so much in the first place. He was a constant plus and he made the biggest shots of the game out of nothing when nobody else could create, not even Big Al. Even most of Messy Marv's shots came off Kemba penetrating and dishing.
