Roughly where I'd rank him. That's pretty fair.

Al 40% shooting for preseason. Has missed a lot of bunnies. Need that % to go back up to the 50% he was at all last season.

Post made over on GB:
tsherkin wrote:This is an example of an ignorant post which is borderline baiting, and does not really underscore that Walker IS important to Charlotte's offense

...

The best trait of the best offensive player on the squad besides Walker is that Al Jefferson doesn't turn the ball over, almost ever. That's not the same as being a dominant offensive player (and he hasn't been especially good since leaving Utah, at that, barring some stretches last year).

Does anyone else agree with me that this statement about Al is absolutely baiting?

At least he warned us beforehand that he was about to type a 'example of an ignorant post which is borderline baiting"

Haha, no, he was responding to someone else'e post about Kemba. I modified his post to show the hypocrisy that he would say that about someone else's post, then post that about Al.

Once Jefferson get himself into shape this team will be a terror. A lot of that holding the ball once he got it instead of making a move towards the basket is a example of being exhausted and having to gather himself (and his breath)

Ah, gotcha, realized when I chopped the quote that it might have been confusing. It seems like such an absurd statement, I honestly can't believe it was made seriously.

tsherkin is a master baiter anyway. :P

He'll say something stupid and then wait for a response that he can take offense to. We've got a few members of this board that can attest to that. He baits as much as anybody on RealGM. I don't regret being banned from the general board because I have to deal with him less. Let me guess, you and him disagreed on Big Al and then he hit you with a GB ban for something stupid? Classic tsherkin.

Just read that thread. Word of advice, end the discussion while you can. What context is that quote even in? Why all of a sudden does he bring up Jefferson and why he hates Jefferson too? That is irrelevant to the topic and obvious baiting. I don't know why he'd do that, I'm not in his head seeing his thought process (or lack thereof) but you're better off not even bothering with him.

Yeah, posted a reply recently and now I'll probably just let it go.

That's why it struck me as so funny - he talks about someone baiting by slamming Kemba, then later in that same post throws in a completely random and unrelated slam of Al.

He wants you to call him out on it and tell him he's an idiot. Don't fall for it... we need our Hornets reps on the GB. :D

Al was the worst player on our team last night. Ive said it before and Ill say it again, when he isnt able to do his thing on offense he is a downright awful player and shouldnt even be in the game. He needs to be held accountable. Im hoping he just needs to get game ready and shake off the rust so he can pullnhis weight but last night was the worst game ive ever seen from him. He was seriously better in the playoffs last year with one foot.

Per usual, the opposing team just picked on Jefferson's defense off pick-and-roll, and the Bucks even added a new wrinkle that other teams will start using with the backscreen to free the 3-point shooter. Milwaukee ran the same two plays over & over & over & over at the end of the game to varying success, but they had good looks each time. It was quite nerve wrecking for me to watch on the edge of my seat

It seemed like Big Al was off to his customary slow start but he still hit some big shots and ended with a double double so all is well.
