The Official Fire SVG Thread

Post#1 » by JD43320 » Thu Oct 30, 2014 6:07 pm

I've had enough of this guy. The game against Denver was an abomination. We should never lose to a better team on the road while short handed. Let's look at the list of things he did wrong.

He didn't bench Josh Smith for Jonas, err I mean the guy we lovingly call poop.

Dre was ineffective and struggling and should have been benched for Joel Anthony.

KCP was awful so why didn't SVG replace him with the back up SG we don't have?

Jennings was for once shooting well and he gets benched? Sure he was terrible on defense, had more turnovers than assists but he was having a career game shooting percentage wise.

He didn't utilize our SF's enough. Sure none of our SF's would even make the Nuggets roster but they should've been more involved in the offense.

These are all fireable offenses in my book.

SVG has set a new Piston record for futility. The worst of all is that SVG now has the lowest winning percentage of any Piston coach that has coached at least one game. I'm not 100% sure but I think he may have at least tied the NBA record of worst winning percentages after at least one game coached. That right there, my friends, says it all. SVG needs to go. If Gores had any balls he would've fired him at halftime last night. It's time to bring back Joe and Karen Davidson or else things are only going to go further downhill from here.

LOL

You forgot to mention that you predicted all this six months ago when he was first hired
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

I cant blame the coach, I put it on the GM. First the guys too lazy to even bother drafting anybody in the 1st round, then he spurns the plethora of suitors clamoring to take Smith off his hands at any price, all while being too cheap to pay well deserved near max deals to the perennial all star SFs available in free agency. And to top it all off he cant even land Lebron, cmon man. The coach can only do what he can do with what he has to work with. The GMs the real problem here.

At this point last season we were 2-1. TWO AND ONE!!!!!!#!@#!!!3231! How can Gores justify keeping SVG when he is clearly an inferior coach to Mo Cheeks? Is Tom Gores a racist? He fired two black men and replaced them with one white guy!!!!! Not only is Gores killing the Pistons he's killing jobs!! Does Gores hate Detroit? We know SVG does. Why else would he let Smith bomb Detroit with all these bricks!?!?!?!???????

Other way around, he can fire himself and hire some other coach instead. That'd be funny.

His biggest mistake was not trading Drummond/Jennings for Love and Rubio

Then we could have gotten Lebon
