Isaiah Thomas :

Did the Heat interest come before or after LeBron went to Cleveland?

It was before. And then when LeBron had left, it was kinda like they were going a different direction. Like I said, Phoenix came out of nowhere. I didn’t even list them as a team that I was looking at. I didn’t even know they were looking at me. And then they called, and wanted me to come in for a visit.

For some reason I got mad as **** right now thinking how much better our summer could have gone if Riley knew about Lebron leaving earlier then he did.

You realize our only new free agents to play tonight are Deng and **** Shawn Williams.

Eric Bledsoe, Klye Lowey, Gortat, Gasol - were all attainable. We could have been beastly with 2 of them added.

Im mad as fu*k I swear.

It's in the past now dude. Nothing we could have done (as fans) could have changed the outcome. Look forward to our new future.

I know it's easier to talk after but i always find it hard to choose between loyalty/continuity versus Changes/trades

After the title in 2006, we didnt make any significant move, the season after, we had an horrible year
From that season, Pat Riley learnt it a lot from it, you have to make some changes

After our back to back, we cut Mike Miller and didnt make any signficant moves. Who whould have thought that a year after LeBron would have left ?
I guess Riley also learnt from it too because you cant give up your best player for nothing.
Wade was a lock, so it would have been between Bosh and LeBron.
I know it sounds crazy but by trading LeBron, we would have get more assets and there are many teams that lost their best player instead of trading him a year before the end of his contract

Mad thoughts at first but take the time think about if

Who cares? I'm proud of the squad we have now. LeBron and his slick ways won't stop this train.

I'm intrigued by the guard rotation Spo has right now. With Rio potentially settling into a backup SG for Wade, it makes it possible for Napier to get some safe burn with enough veterans on the floor. His learning curve shouldn't be too bad with Cole and Chalmers providing him with a big enough minutes cushion. As his play improves, his minutes will grow, and we can see that. I loved what Cole showed tonight, though I don't realistically expect 24 a game.

Ok I've been working way too much...is Cole now the starter over Rio?

When is McBob and Granger coming back and why did it seem Deng didn't play much yesterday?

Bosh? If he plays like this we will compete for the East.

Yes Cole starts over Rio. Rio though was ending the game and made a big time shot, but then got 5 fouls then Cole came in and also hit a big time shot. The whole game is on youtube in the game thread somewhere.

Don't know about McBob or Granger. McBob has his toe, but Granger apparently had a tight hamstring. He should be back soon. Deng rolled his ankle in the first half then came back much later. He left to go to the locker room. But he did come back in, so he is fine.

Yes I agree about Bosh

Also Wade went down, got kicked int he calf and it was bruised but he loosened it up and scored 14 points in the 4th for the win. Man we all feared the worse but Wade wasn't holding on to his knee so it was a good sign. Two scares with Deng and Wade in the first game... smh lol. They are both fine though and will continue to play.

Ok that explains why Deng didn't score much.
If Cole can give us 15-3-6 we're golden

It is literally IMPOSSIBLE we could have had 2 of the guys you listed. Suns would have matched any offer for Bledsoe, Gasol said that he wasn't coming if he didn't know if LeBron was coming back and Gortat seems to love Washington. Of the guys you listed MAYBE we could have POSSIBLY ALMOST gotten Lowry but what are the chances he leaves a young team that he was the leader of that he just lead to the playoffs.

I honestly think if we knew LeBron was leaving earlier the only thing that would be different is maybe we get Ariza for 8 million instead of Deng for 10 and then another big for 2ish mill like Jason Smith.

Nothing worth being "mad as fu*k" over.

You're literally wrong.

We spent 26+ Mil on : Deng, Mcbob, Rio, Birdman and Granger. Bosh didn't even take the small paycut he intended to take because we didn't bring in anyone that is worth taking less for.

Gortat is making 10.4 this year, Lowry is making 12 this year.

Lowry/Napier
Wade/Shumpert (traded for Cole)
Ennis/C.Butler
Bosh/S.Williams/Haslem
Gortat/Hamilton/Birch

This team would have been cheaper, and IMO significantly better. But whatever, it's water under bridge. If Cole and Nappier can make the jump this year and Mcbob and Hamilton have a good year, the current team might be as good as the imaginary one. We really need the young guys to step up in a big way.

Except he didn't talk about the financial aspect but just pointed out why those players wouldn't pick us over the teams they're with now.
