Interview w/ Andrew Wiggins' high school coach

Post#1 » by OnAirDonnie » Thu Oct 30, 2014 1:29 pm

Hey Cavs fans!

My online radio show, The Bench (http://www.TheBenchGuys.com) has a really cool interview this week with Gus Gymnopolous - the man who coached Andrew Wiggins in high school, and started working with him in the 6th grade.

Gus discusses Andrew's upside, his special talents, why he really chose Kansas and how the Cavaliers will greatly regret the trade.

Thought some of you might be interested in checking it out.

You can also get our show by downloading Stitcher to your smartphone / tablet or find us on iTunes. Just search "The Bench"

Thanks!

We are very likely to regret the trade. Wiggins is gonna be a big time star.

Plus Wiggins would be a perfect fit if LeBron doesn't return next year.
Wiggins-Kyrie looks like a better fit than LeBron-Kyrie, because Wiggins doesn't need the ball in his hands as much.
Anyway, that's all in the past.

Because it seemed to me that the content of the interview would be something that impartial, and objective Cavs fans might find interesting.

We did receive quite a bit of feedback from Cavs fans so I guess I was right.

Didn't look like that at all in game 1......Shabazz wa getting more minutes. Obviously one game but I don't see big time star.

Could say the same about Parker and Exum.
Lots of these rookies that may end up being all-stars/superstars are going to look raw this week.
Jabari Parker for example, 37 minutes for 8 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist.

Most rookies don't turn into allstars/superstars. Some of these guys have potential obviously but their talent is looking overhyped. Parker and Wiggins will be fine/good but Exum, we won't know about him for 3 years min, he doesn't belong on an NBA court right now.
