OJ was simply amazing. Larry was dreadful offensively but was a gigantic game changer defensively. Knight did a really good job tonight of just managing the offense. He still put a lot of pressure on the defense, but he was mainly attacking to get teammates open for once, and once again, on a team that struggles so much in terms of rebounding, his contributions there are huge.

Man your pro Knight bias is really feeling forced. I still put Parker above Knight. This is the kid's 2nd NBA game, and he looks like a vet. Knight got absolutely decimated by Wroten defensively. At least he started letting other people run the offense and take shots this game.
ETA: Wanted the first line to be green font/tongue in cheek but it comes off dickish so I made it green font.

I'm not even pro Knight lol. I couldn't care less if we resign him or not. But he did a good job tonight. Jabari had a couple nice moments. He's doing decent for a rookie, but Knight made a far more positive impact on the game than Jabari. Just because I can recognize when Knight does well doesn't mean I'm "pro Knight". If you were reading through the game thread, I was one of the people giving Knight a hard time when he made bad passes or bad decisions. But the good outweighed the bad by a good margin tonight.

Sixers had an eFG% of 25.0 when Larry was on the court.
Sanders had as great a defensive game as it is possible to have and got nowhere near winning this.

I don't think you know what green text means.

Larry was fantastic defensively, true. But he had like 5 different point-blank bunnies that he totally blew off of nice setups. He didn't draw fouls on those, he just fumbled them, got blocked, or missed point blank shots. Mayo, on the other hand, had by far his best game as a Buck. I definitely think Sanders was our second best player last night, but does Mayo winning this POTG really deserve all those nonos?

Great defense, 15 boards, 4 blocks in a game where they were getting killed inside without him - Larry gets player of the game - would not have won without him.

Brandon Knight: 13 points on 2-8 shooting from the field, 8-10 from the free throw line and 1-4 from behind the arc, 7 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals, and 3 turnovers in 29 minutes. +6
O.J. Mayo: 25 points on 8-13 shooting from the field, 4-6 from the charity stripe and 5-7 from downtown, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal, and 1 turnover in 28 minutes. +10
Jabari Parker: 11 points (5-11, 1-3, 0-2), 10 rebounds, 1 steal, and 3 turnovers in 31 minutes. +15
Larry Sanders: 8 points on 4-12 shooting (0-1 from the line), 15 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, 4 blocks, and 2 turnovers in 27 minutes. +13
Disappointing Larry shot just 25% from field in his 12 shot attempts.

He fought to get most of those boards, and he altered as many plays as he blocked, but they would have won going away if Larry would have converted just a few more of the bunnies. He had a couple of real heads-up positioning moves that altered Sixer plays, but also had a couple of mental lapses (not just the near wrong-end goal either ).
Larry had a very good game. An awful lot to like, but it could have been a lot better. I will be very happy if this is his standard performance.

I am so thankful that Larry was hurt last year. He easily adds 10 wins on defense alone. We wouldn't have Jabari right now if Larry played last season.
All posts are my own opinion.

Mayo had as good of a game offensively as it is possible. 5-7 from 3. It could go either way but you act like offense isn't important.

Voted Mayo. He was on fire. If Middleton and Mayo get hot at the same time we might beat some good teams.
"Our goal is to become a championship team," Kidd said.

There won't be 10 better defensive games than Larry played all year. If OJ scored 40+ I might have voted for him. The Sixers didn't score a single point when Larry came back on for the last 8 minutes. When do you think the next time that will happen to a team?

No question Larry played great. A big part of the finish was that they finally tightened up some of the perimeter defense. There were several sets that used up most of the 24 second clock.

Also lol @ anyone who wanted to trade Larry for scraps. Looks to be playing at 2012-13 level already. Now he just needs to keep his head on straight
Without Mayo going off we lose so he is definitely worth a vote. Yes, without Larrys defense we also lose but the numbers are much better looking for Mayos case

Ever since perseason I don't think that's true. Brandon Knight on the other hand.
