The Knicks with the win over the Cavs. Melo with a clutch shot down the stretch.

It is early and the Cavaliers are still gelling. Still, I'm not sure why David Blatt is playing LeBron and Kyrie Irving 43 minutes and they have a game tomorrow against Chicago.

Blatt playing Kyrie and Lebron a few too many minutes wasn't the egregious mistake IMO. Playing Shawn Marion 10 minutes and Mike Miller 3 minutes was something veteran NBA coaches wouldn't have done. The politics of the game say keep your locker room happy. I believe Blatt raised eyebrows already.

Tristan Thompson and Matthew Delladova (sp?) both played significantly more minutes than Marion and Miller.

I bet you that doesn't happen tonight against Chicago.

It's 1 game, but if I have said this in the past...Love would be better off waiting on signing an extension. He's going to get his money regardless, but if I were him, I'd really like to know where Lebron is at 32. He still might be all world but by that point Lebron would have almost 15 years in the league. That is an awful lot of basketball.

Then they go out and extend Varejao. If Love opts in, they're already over next year's projected cap. They haven't decided on Thompson and they got Waiters due for an extension soon. Point is one would think their title window is probably 3 years.

That was one of the reasons I was scratching my head when Marion went to Cleveland in the first place. He not only took less money, but guaranteed himself limited minutes behind LeBron and Love.

I'm ambivalent about Miller, though. He's proven that he breaks down regularly over the course of a season, so keeping him basically in bubble wrap until March/April makes sense if you want him healthy for a playoff run.

I'm surprised that Vegas has Chicago as just a +1.5 point favorite over Cleveland.

Tristan Thompson and Kevin Love owned the boards. Cleveland played much better defense. The Cavs stunned the Bulls. Gibson made several bad plays to contribute to a loss.

Alex Len= Baller (Like some of us said all along)

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

stupid foul late by CHI in regulation was a big help. They were up 5 with 40 sec to play.
Should have won.

Hard to decide who to root for or against.

Rose tweaked. We'll see about this. He looked pretty decent while in.

Kobe dunk that looks like a pre-achilles 2013 type dunk.

Maybe he'll get his legs back under him sooner rather than later.

LAL might not win a game until December

How about that 28th pick Perry Jones? Durant insurance already on the roster and on a rookie deal. Let's see how his numbers shake out.

I was hoping that he slipped to the Wizards. I'm surprised that he fell that deep in the draft.

If you're reading this live or near live (9:50 p.m. Eastern), click over to NBATV.

The Knicks and Charlotte and playing a really close, back-and-forth game that's pretty entertaining.

NYK won, I think it's good result for us.
What's your opinion on that 5 sec fault at the end, pine?

I think it was a blown call.

The Knicks got a gift there.
