This will be a good test to see if we've found an answer for our 3pt defense.

I hope Rudy Gay doesn't put up another 40 point game but I admit I wouldn't be upset if he was bought out and became a Clipper.

that would be incredible. does Rudy still play defense like he used to? I haven't seen him in a long while.

I used to consider Gay as a poor man's KD (before KD was MVP and before Gay was traded from Memphis). Never a great 3 pt shooter but an incredible athlete who could stay with his man and knock down J's. He lost some form over the past couple of years but he is only 28 and is still a superb rebounder. Now I consider him as a super athletic Matt Barnes who's strength is cutting to the basket but can also post up against very small SF's.

I like that this is an early game for me because it's harder for me to stay up now since I'm in the east. Based on what I've seen from the team this could be a tough game. If we don't play much D we could see a similar game from Friday. I hope our guys are ready to go and give a good effort. I'll try to watch this one if I can.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

I am worried, but I also think that the "Clips" need to WAKE the "F" up at some point & this maybe the game. We have not played up to the team's potential & there doesn't seem to be an urgency from the players. JJ has turned into this year's version of Dudley and our rebounding has been worse than a YMCA teams. I hope we get it together!

How exactly would describe used to? I know stats wise last year he got a steal and a blocks per game, but that doesn't always mean he's great at defense.

Crawford is out with injured ribs. Jared Cunningham to fill in. Don't expect Reggie Bullock or C.J. Wilcox to play. Also, some more Hedo Turkoglu.

I don't think a buyout will be possible. If Gay has another outburst like this for the next few games, the Clippers will be forced to trade for him. He's worth $19 million. Clips would have to trade this package:

Matt Barnes, Reggie Bullock, C.J. Wilcox, Chris Douglas-Roberts, Jamal Crawford, J.J. Redick, rights to Cenk Akyol, 2nd round pick, $2 million cash compensation

That above is the equivalent of the farm trade for Kevin Garnett.

:banghead:

you're quite random, but no, none of this would happen. The Clippers can't go past the hard cap of $82 million, even to sign minimum players, they won't even consider trading for Gay let alone trading like 8 players for him.

Rudy Gay I remember from the Memphis was a very tightly contesting defender who used his length to disrupt passing lanes as well as contest shots, but best asset was how close he played you without getting beat.

oh goddamn it CP's knee isn't looking good.
