And we still don't have Calderon, without question our 2nd best player. Scared to see how our defense is with him though. Calderon and Prigs have made numerous defensive plays messing up the opponents tempo.

He'll have to earn his minutes, but I could only guess he's going to be getting a lot of the same mid to long range jumpers like Acy, Dally and Jason have been getting. He's money on those, and if he's rolling he can create a bit too.

Again, if he's killing you on D you yank him, but on offense he can fit.

Bargnani is pretty much automatic on open jumpers out to 20 feet. Plus he can do more - defend the post, put the ball on the floor. He'll definitely have a role on this team.

Gonna resign him with room exception. That's my theory

They can only re-sign him for the amount they decline, the cba is 100% clear on that.

That's fine. Isn't the room exception 2.1 mil? You don't have to use the entire amount rt? Does the CBA say anything about using the room exception on a player you decline?

Prigs needs to move to 3rd string when Calderon comes back. Larkin should be the backup

on offense yes. He is playing very well. Hornets had no one to defend him.

But he is still a killer on defense. Al Jefferson started to get going with Amare guarding him. He still is clueless sometimes and even though he is rebounding he still doesn't block out and the opposition gets a lot of second chances.

But when Melo is out we need his offense right now, until we can get more talent.

Just need to find the right big man to play with him, Jason Smith and Amare is an awful combo defnesively

I really think Smith is preserving his body, he doesnt look the same as the player who was last playing with Anthony Davis. But I'd keep him with Dally whether they start or come off the bench, and keep Acy with Amare.

Amare didnt bother me at all tonite...he did two of the three I want from my "center". Score and rebound.

he wont protect the rim....not even looking for that.

The Cba says you can only sign a player you decline for the amount you declined. There are very few exceptions a team under the cap has anyway.

Jason Smith can't play PF though. He is stuck in mud defensively. Cody Zeller was destroying him at one point. Cody Zeller

I'm starting to like the idea of starting Melo Amare and Dalembert..but I love Acy's hustle and energy next to Dalembert...nice options to consider

Hardaway with 9 points in 10 minutes on 4-5 shooting (only miss was the long 3 when the shot clock was winding down) and plus 2. Pretty good game considering he didn't a lot of PT.

Hopefully I hope he gets better on D and gets more playing time in the future, but as our rotation's thin down I don't think he will get any minutes.

He played PF just fine with Davis with the Pelicans. And the year before iirc he did the same with Okafor. He has to find his place, but I do think he's holding back. I'm not endorsing that, but I think he's doing it.

I don't know how to read odds, I am a tyro to the whole gambling thing. Could someone please translate what our line was for me:

http://linemakers.sportingnews.com/odds?odds-sport=nba

If this means we were a 3 point favorite that would explain the calls today (the ones that kept CHA close and the ones that sealed the game for us).

Such as the room exception.

So back to what was originally said: we can sign him using the room exception.

Anthony Davis plays PF though. So Jason Smith was probably guarding the oppositions center.

Jason Smith ideally needs to play with a good defensive shot blocking rebounding PF.

Amare, Jason Smith, and Bargs are all very similar when it comes to that.

A younger version of Kenyon Martin type would be a perfect fit next to those guys. We just don't have that

Just enjoying this all until the Tank Commander(Bargs) comes to destroy. Calderon sucks defensively but I can see the upside with him, even if eased in. Bargs might take some of Aldrich and Acy's minutes which is scary.

Got another site:

http://sportschatplace.com/nba-picks/
the line was 188, our game total points was 189 so we hit the over by 1...
Knicks were at -4 which i guess means 4 point favorites, we didn't cover...

So yeah interesting right?
