I would agree of Randle were out there but everyone else is probably who they are so they aren't really going to develop anymore.

I haven't seen anything but the opposite. Anybody trying to argue otherwise is not really making a case for winning such debate. Lin is awful in just about every area a lead guard....a solid type lead guard is good at.
He turnover prone, which to a degree every starting guard in the league is going to have turnovers. But just using a raw number the average lead guard will have about a average ratio of 4 assist to 1 turnover. Lin is a 1.47 to 1 and ranks 41st among lead guards. Believe it or not Ronnie Price is ranked 10th ! with 4.50 assists to 1 turnover....like I said average guards will have that.
Also his handles are bad just like bws94 pointed out, this is the leading cause of his TO's. It's not the fact that he turns it over but his TO's always seem to come when the team is in need of a bucket to keep momentum or when the team is making a run. Also bws94 was also right when he said Lin needs to find ways to contribute when his shot is not going, you gotta offer something.
No matter of all the positives that are slowly coming together, we can't make a big leap until Lin figures out how he wants to play. My thoughts are telling me Price may have to start, Lin would be better with the 2nd unit especially once Nick and Ryan comes back because we all envisioned that group playing at a higher pace anyway. And that suits Lin better.
And I'm not saying Lin is the reason for the losses, all the players are....but he's got the ball in his hands to start the engine. And until his game improves we're not moving anywhere.

As much as what you're saying makes sense, you want to start Price, Kobe, Wes, Boozer and Hill together? Do you have any idea how bad that would be spacing wise?

It made no sense to play them all preseason together then break them up for the hell of it opening night

What happened was, Nash was supposed to be the starter, then he got injured. Then Lin was supposed to be the starter and he got injured. Give it some time guys, Lin's not as bad as he has shown three out of the past four games, maybe his ankles are still hurting a bit?

No excuses, Lin came off the bench every preseason game. Price started in front of him when he was available as well. It made no sense to trot him out there as a starter when he played off the bench nightly.
Be honest do you want us to give it time because it's best for the lakers? It hasn't been for continuity at all, it hasn't been best for his play, and it has 0/4.
Least we won a game with Pricr starting, least Lin was Into it everytime off the bench, and it's what we actually practiced

The theme of Monday’s practice was that the team is still figuring out the best way to play together. Jeremy Lin singled out the spacing on offense
Lin also admitted that the early struggles in Los Angeles have been a bit more frustrating than he expected, but that’s mostly to do with a new system and figuring out how best to operate within it. Lin says he does recognize what’s needed from him, it’s just a matter of figuring out how to execute
Carlos Boozer echoed the same sentiments as Lin, that their struggle is not for lack of effort. Boozer pointed to communication being the number one thing this team needs to work on.
