I really don't get that performance form the OL. All 5 players on the OL played terribly. None of them were even average yesterday.

But the one guy who just keeps getting worse every week is Kaepernick. He fumbled twice, he decided to throw the ball before the play started 3 times (because... y'know... that just keeps working out for him), he can't pick up a hot read to save his life (because his football IG is in the single digits)...

He STILL! STILL!!!!! Throws the ball 98Mmph on a 5-yard slant; he MISSES on a 5-yard slant! I COULD THROW A FRIGGN' 5--YARD SLANT!

I am so mad the Niners are stuck with this numbskull for 6 and a half more years. Kyle Orton is starting to look really good right now at 2 years & 11 million. :banghead:

Kap overall has a had solid season. Statistically, he has a higher completion % than last year, and has spread the ball fairly well. Yesterday's performance by the OL certainly didnt help, and despite being under all that pressure, he still had a respectable showing statistically...The two fumbles hurt bad, no excuse there.

As to talk about Greg Roman and the offense: Kaepernick needs to do what the WCO/Reid offense does. If he does that and then takes shots more than KC, we will win out, IMO. No one says that taking shots all day with a bad oline is good and being too conservative is bad, too. So if they get positive yards, albeit short, Kaepernick has a strong enough arm to then take advantage (deeper at times). Running to get play action would help.

It seems that people call what KC does easy, ignore how successful it is, but then struggle trying to do the opposite - either get foiled by INTs (not us) or too long developing pass plays with a bad oline (us). Why not a hybrid that takes advantage of both and add a running dimension for Kaepernick? If you have a stronger arm and more willing to throw deep QB, why the hell not take the high percentage, high YAC, time consuming drives (resting defense) with opportunistic shots that your QB both is physically able to do and willing? It seems stupid to do what we're doing with our oline injuries.

When the oline gets healthy and gels, then switch if that's your preference.

I'm beginning to think that the wco requires more football iq than kaep has at the moment
