Watching Kyrie/LeBron Tiff Trade Thought Came to Mind
Hey Knicks/Magic fan here...
As I'm watching the issues developing betwenn Kyrie and Lebron, a trade of Kyrie for Rondo straight up came to mind. Would you do it, knowing he is a UFA at end of year? Just curious on Cav fans thoughts.

No. Kyrie has more value and Rondo could walk at the end of the season. Frankly, Rondo has had his issues with former teammates in terms of getting them the ball as well.

do it.
1)irving will never change,
or if he does change, is a passing irving as good as a ball-centric irving.
2)it's not only irving vs lebron, it's irving vs lebron/love/miller/marion/
3)a ring team doesn't want a ball hogging/scoring pg. take a look at all the past ring teams

I don't get it. Why can't Lebron just play some PG and let Irving play off the ball. I see Irving as no different than Wade, he needed to handle the ball and wasn't a catch and shoot guy either and they facilitate about the same. Hell there PG's was Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole who did little for assist or play making.

I'm not freaking out like everyone else but I think the Cavs were hoping they wouldn't have to literally take the ball out of Kyrie's hands to get him to play PG.

If Rondo was younger maybe I would consider it more, but he's almost 29. I'd stick with young Kyrie and work on improving his passing game and defense. Irving has a lot of room to grow still.

Only thing is you are trying to win now - meaning the next 2-4 years. Maybe this is just growing pains. But Rondo has a ring already and understand stats won't win you championships. Though he did just have a triple-double last night..

This is what we need to do. Put the ball in LBJ's hands, let him manage the flow of the game and let Kyrie do what he does best - score the rock.
For the long term benefit of the team would it be nice if Kyrie could develop as a PG? Sure. Not sure Blatt has the luxury of waiting for that.

I would rather try to find a third team and go for Rubio and a defensive oriented center.
Biyombo comes to my mind, maybe Sanders...

sorry. it was a knee-jerk reaction to the trade. yes, irving AND lebron cannot both have the ball because that means kluv doesn't get the ball at all. irving has to be willing to play the 2, lebron has to pg, and kluv has to take more shots than irving. if love doesn't get his touches then blatt is wasting love out there by the arc, when kevin could be positioned inside getting rebounds. but at the sg, irving has to give up the ball. i'm wondering if irving can resist the temptation of holding onto the ball once he gets it,,,,even as a 2.

haha. irving is playing like a 2, lebron is letting him keep the ball, and love is waiting for a pass from a 1 that doesn't exist.

Would you guys be willing to do a Irving for MCW trade? I think MCW is the perfect PG for this team.
