That's just makes a awesome summer. Not only did we win the World Cup, but also our youth is producing one talent after the other.

After 137 games and 71 goals, Klose officially retires from the national team. With 16 world cup goals he is the all time leader right in front of (fat) Ronaldo. Only Lothar Matthäus had more international caps for the German team (150).

After 104 games and winning the world cup, Per Mertesacker has ended his international career for Germany.

All I can say is, Thanks BFG!!!

That's pretty awesome news. If Jogi follows the example of his old faithful a the DFB may even be able to hijack Tuchel's move next summer and really let this generation show what they can do.

Schweinsteiger is our new captain. Well deserved, a legendary player already.

Must be depressing for Argentina to come to our party today.

Maybe not, they're currently leading 4-1 but it shows that the team doesn't cares about it.
You can't play Kroos without someone cleaning up his mistakes(have fun Real) and he seems to not care at all, not even jogging back after losing the ball.

Best player so far has been Kramer, who keeps on showing that he got a huge boost from winning the WC and even creates chances now.

BTW: I think that Schweini will make about ten games as the captian(including the EC in 2016) before ending his internatonal career as well.

It was fairly obvious that Kroos didnt care about this one at all.

I dont blame him, though. he is playing 3 games a week. If he doesnt want to play a meaningless friendly he should be honest and tell Löw.

a win would've been nice. but if our fate is to lose some of our friendlies but win, when it counts, i am fine with that. offensively, our game didn't look as bad, but i hope, that gomez can get into some kind of rythm. we are really thin on true strikers. On to the next game against scotland, which should be played with more intensity.
too many urkels on your team, that's why your wins low

If you think that is embarassing, you haven't seen england vs norway. 40.000 fans in an 90.000 capacity stadium.

The much better solution would be never playing Gomez in a real game and saving him for friendlies like Keissling, who also isn't skilled enough for the nt. Between Reus, Müller, Schürrle, Kruse, Volland, Draxler, and Werner we never need to use him again so hopefully Jogi isn't dumb enough to try.

*shrug* the only team at that WC that even came close to us for total talent was Spain, and they refused to work in their young talent and so **** the bed. I don't care how arrogant it sounds but with how much more talent we have we should've won the World Cup. This generation is just crazy stacked and can surpass the achievements of the west German team of the 70s who won the euros, won the next WC, and then went to the finals of the next euros despite the DFB chasing our best midfielder and Gerd out of the squad before losing on penalties. This generation should better that achievement of Jogi doesn't hold them back.

Man, Tony Jantschke will never play for Germany, as long as Loew's coaching the team and after Jogi's done, Jantschke will be to old to make his debut.

The Breisgau dude once again nominated Sebastian Rudy(terrible at RB) and Antonio Rüdiger(not quite there yet) over Tony and even Julian Korb.

Löw would probably nominate Sorg right from Freiburgs bench before he nominates Jantscke & Korb.

What a great team Germany has been for the past 6 years. I knew that you guys would eventually win it. I don't know what's wrong with the team right now? I know that it is hard to stay hungry after winning the cup, especially with the busy club schedule and demands, but the results have been more than disappointing.

After the WC, everyone was talking about a new dynasty, so I hope they don't fall apart.
