Also, I'm sorry for jumping the line Rich and everyone else with this GT. Am just very amped for this game tomorrow. Promise not to jump the line again and will take full responsibility if we lose. You can also delete if you want to make one.

Need a win here, this is a divisional game.

After the minnesota debacle, a loss here will be inexcusable. The Knicks are not very good, we need to move the ball, get Lopez buckets while he is in motion towards the basket, and let Joe Jesus give them Gospel of our Lord

Joe Johnson should lead the team in touches and FGA. Enough nonsense, Lopez does not deserve to be force fed.

And Bogs needs to start knocking down shots consistently.

I love it, although I'd say the Deron Williams part is a little harsh. But other than that, fantastic game thread. I was LOLing at a few of these.

Thanks, I do think he looks much better this year, was disappointed in him in our opener, and the 4th quarter of the last game, but he was fantastic through 3 quarters. I think he can be poised for a big game tonight as I believe Shane Larkin is their only available pg. he has a significant height and weight advantage on Larkin, so hopefully he stays aggressive all night and takes advantage of that.

My causes for concern:
- Shumpert really gets us for these games. Last year he played at an All Star level against us and a meh level against the rest of the league. He looks improved in a contract year.
- don't get caught napping on the perimeter on THJR. He can't effectively create his own shot, but will knock down open 3's all game. Get out on him.
- I am nervous about Joe getting in foul trouble guarding Melo

Hopefully Brook looks sharper tonight. Their front court isn't good. Dalembert looked like prime Matumbo the last time we met, but Brook shouldn't be getting moved around all night like Pek did to him.

I agree we need to stop force feeding Lopez, once he touches the ball everyone knows he's shooting. Keep the ball in D-will and Joe's hands and ride them to victory

Here we have the problem of starting Bogs: Joe has to defend the tougher wing assignment.

Bogs has GOT to start knocking down shots at a better clip to make his impact on the floor relevant. Otherwise, I go with Anderson so that Joe doesn't get into foul trouble.

I know it's extremely early but we're 6th in offense efficiency in the league.

Joe deserves all the late game touches, Brook has to accept the role as the finisher and everyone else needs to stop force feeding him in bad situations. Brook only should be force fed against mismatches.

What I find interesting is that Hollins talked about riding the hot hand and yet we kept feeding Brook the ball even though he was terrible.

Tonight expect them to give the ball to Brook a lot when he's guarded by Dalembert. However, in order for him to be effective, he's gotta muscle it in first before taking the shot. I can easily see Dalembert blocking Brook, if Brook tries to play a finesse game and not use his weight advantage to wear him down.

On the other hand, if Brook is being guarded by Smith, it could pose other problems. I don't know how good of a man-to-man defender he is but Brook better be ready.

I expect D-Will and JJ to turn it up a notch.

Agreed on DWill, really want to see him with a bulldog mentality. No Pablo or Calderon tonight will mean heavy minutes for Larkin. I think it's a bit of a statement game for him as much as the 5th game can be. NY media has been brutal on DWill and this is the chance to prove something against our crosstown rivals. His recent play has me optimistic that he'll have a big game tonight, would love to see it.

I think offensively we can exploit that matchup and Brook if he plays big.

Defensively the Knicks shot over 52% in the 3 games they beat us last year. We cannot leave THJR, JR, Melo and Shump open behind the line. If we are in a 2 pg set and jack is on Hardaway Jr. or JR he better stay awake defensively.

So excited for this, I expect after the last game that we come in with intense energy ready to trash the Knicks... But if we don't play smart we can be susceptible to a lot of mistakes we made last year. I know it's early, but in fiending for this win. Love how great Joe is playing and just am looking for an all around quality game

I think that can be chalked up to D-Will's decent play thus far and Joe being awesome.

As long as these two guys show up, we can hang against anyone.

This is also a barometer game for Joe. He's averaging 22/5/4 on .589 TS%. If he vastly outplays Carmelo, he should begin to get serious consideration for player of the week.

We need to pick up the ball handler in the backcourt and press a bit. I don't thing Shumpert has that good of handles.

Lopez is going to beast tonight. Not that many teams have guys as strong as Pekovic.

AK needs big minutes tonight. We will need him on Melo.
