Amir Johnson has been a bit of a Wizards killer in the past. Not wishing anything bad on the dude, but honestly I hope he's not playing tonight.
We really need at least one of our starting bigs. Preferably both....
I mean, you can get by with a Jonas, Patterson, Hans big man rotation. At least those guys can play basketball (even though defense is way worse without Amir). But, if both starters are gone and you have to start playing guys like Chuck Hayes, and Stiesma big minutes you are gonna have some problems.
No, I understand. It kinda sucks for the Raptors to have their guys out all playing the same positions. You can get by with bench guys starting, but when it's time to sub and you have your 5th and 6th or 7th big playing meaningful minutes, that hurts the effort.
Toronto's saving grace may be its really good backcourt. The Wiz have had trouble clamping down on D on opponents' guards, even scrubs have been having career nights. If I were the Raptors, I'd try to make this a 100% up and down game featuring both teams' smalls. And plan to try and outscore Washington.
