Considering you guys couldn't have shot worse (from the field or FT line) in the 1st half, it was pretty impressive it was a 16 point lead in the 4th at one point.

I don't except the next game to go down like this, you guys were just off tonight.

Us too, though that was his worst game this year. He's averaged neatly 16 ppg the previous four, was over .500 on 3s, usually plays great D, and can play both spots. If he can keep that play up, he's likely earned the 3rd guard spot.

Agreed, but I'd imagine you'd much rather see the likes of Beal and even Webster with those minutes lol.

You would think this would be more active because of the region and more people with more internet access.

Your Mods are class acts and so are most of your posters.
Think Wiz and Raptors will be real rivals the next few years.
You will be better with Beal and Porter looking good.

Wowwww that first half was one of the worst in recent memory

Beal couldnt get back sooner

Pierce couldnt play better sooner.

Wall splashed some buckets in the 3rd, got aggressive at one point. Even though he airballed his first two, he shouldnt have stopped. God knows the rest of the team couldnt hit anything. Nene's 20 ft jumpers piss me the f*ck off.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Whoa, what the heck happened. I take my wife out to date night. Come home, pay the babysitter, the both of us get ready to watch the game on DVR and my 7 -year-old daughter wakes up and says "The Wizards lost by lots. Marissa (our babysitter) felt sad." Our babysitter is a big fan, so I know we got killed.

Jeebus.

I swear, it seems as though the Raptors always just match up with us....we gotta simply avoid playing them.

sigh.

And the refs were dogturds today. Like not even sour grapes here, there were calls that were WAY off, and some of those even benefited us. Just rubbish all round.

Good to see Hump get decent minutes. He played well.

He should be the first big in to replace Nene (or Gort if hes in foul trouble). Bench Seraphin eternally.

Just watched the game on DVR. Thoughts....

- Wall is the head of the snake. He starts off bad, the team follows suit. Going hand in hand with that thought, when Wall starts off rough, it gets to him. He isn't the kind of guy who misses a few shots and puts it behind him...those misses are in his mind every shot thereafter.

- Porter needs to be more aggressive. He was feeling it tonight and failed to get up 10 shots.

- Humphries did what he does. He should be placed firmly ahead of Seraphin and Gooden in the depth chart. Blair, conversely, gave credence to his detractors today. Too many fouls. I'd still roll with him over Goodaphin but Wittman won't be convinced after today's game.

- We suck at free throws. Can we hire a hypnotist because that's the only thing that will work.

- Toronto is a really good team and should be respected as such.

- I need to learn not to compliment players who are playing above their level (Temple) because it is a well-known jinx.

Now that Miler has admitted that he was the bad juju jinx, let me unsticky this and let the memories of the game float out into oblivion.

But Miller must now run outside, turn around three times, and spit. (To get rid of the jinx.)

Seemed like the Raptors were stat trolling- trying to get Lowry his triple double.

Casey leaves starters in late during pre season games. The guy means no disrespect, he's just a clown.

Agree. I've rarely heard Phil and Buck point out more ref mistakes that benefited the Wizards. Raptors would have killed regardless, and the bad calls both ways more or less cancelled each other out, but were still a little frustrating on top of the team's performance.

I hope the Wiz will learn from this game and move forward. We need for Pierce to play his game, he's always passing up shots and it's affecting his game. Another thing, this thread looks like it belongs to the Raptor's board which SUCKS!

stevemcqueen1 wrote:Humphries finally looked right this game. Guessing his hand is feeling better. He's a rugged player, I like him.

Porter also played well. I think you give Pierce more time, he's still adjusting. But if he can't find his game, you have to think about starting Porter sooner rather than later.

Bunch of dead legs out there tonight, I guess that Indy game took more out of us than I realized. We missed FTs. Missed open jumpers. And missed a lot of layups. Blegh.

We need to avoid a slow start. Randy is going to have to be proactive with the rotations to keep the hot hands playing until Beal gets back and we can set our line ups. Pierce should get the chance to work through his struggles. But Porter needs more minutes.

Painful to watch the Wiz lay an egg last night. I agree that Humphries bringing his big boy game was encouraging. Between the hand injury and fitting into a new team he hasn't looked comfortable until this game.

Hopefully motivation for the Bullets as we haven't beat any good teams yet. The season is young. Onward.
