Eh, he needs some of those to build character and resilience. Even MJ needed some defeats along the way to victory. I always want my team to win, but for those of us who didn't think this was the year of the big Wizards move, losing to the Raptors is not so unexpected, not like a Mo Pete buzzer beater or anything.

Now, if you knock off the Cavs, that'll be something. Just as last year, as things stand now, I hope Wiz can dodge Raptors in the playoffs in first two rounds (if they get that far). Hope Wall has a grittier game together by then.

i love John Wall, way more than Kyrie Irving, and I'm not sure if it's just the few games that I've seen so far - but it drives me nut every time he drives, and passes the ball when he had a clear shot (drives me equally as nuts with Derozan's soft and weak euro step drive). maybe because he's not confident driving in with contact? does he have the yips? right now, i see him as the better PG vs Irving, but Kyrie's offense looks more polished (i still don't buy the Kryie as PG).

Toronto fans didn't catch my acrostic in their game thread - which was subtle, I admit. I figured the "TDOT" would've tipped someone off to look at the second paragraph a little more closely.

Wizards fan here.

Toronto has always been a tough matchup.
Defensively: Casey has his detractors, but you have a good scheme and you play hard.
Offensively: I'm a little scared of Derozan; he has a whiff of that post-Team USA confidence.
The other guys don't scare me as much.

Spacing will be an issue for us, since Beal and Webster are still out. Usually, we have two 3pt shooters on the court at all times, but with our guards hurt and Rice struggling, we're not as potent. Consequently, it'll come down to coaching -- and neither team has an Auerbach standing on the sideline. Kyle and DeMar should outscore Wall and Temple, which means we need our bigs to step up and win this one. Should be a good game; see you all tomorrow night!
