Here are some of the things I will be looking for...

The Glass

Rebounds win games guys. We are the worst rebounding team in the whole freaking league. If the rebounding issue isn't addressed soon then this will end up being a season where we are looking to get a nice draft pick.

The calls

The Hawks have been hurt extremely bad by the majority of the calls from the refs thus far. Its about time we get a break in that department.

Dennis

Schroeder has looked good guys, like I'm talking really good. His confidence is really starting to kick in and you can see that on the court. I feel bad for Mack but it's the right thing to do. The minutes have to go to Schroeder.

Containing Melo

Obviously Melo is going to get his touches and points but if we can play with our swarming defense like we have been and disrupt him then I like our chances tonight boys.

I will praise Dennis when his play starts turning into wins. The hypetrain for this guy has always been annoying to me.

-I agree, Schroeder needs to get minutes, and have Mack as the safe option to backup Teague. All Dennis needs is experience, his potential isn't comparable to Mack's, even though I like him.

I'd love to see Bud rest KK after a double oT game last night. Giving all those minutes to Bazemore and Jenkins instead.

Lol, I remember when he kept blocking Hibbert in the playoffs.

As maddening as this team has been the past two nights, I am excited about what I am seeing with Schroder

Schroder looking good. He should have the backup spot...period...now. Even when he eventually struggles. All I needed to see was SOMETHING out of him and he has shown that. All I need now is to get Jenkins his spot back in the rotation.

Wow, that Teague to Horford alley was sick, would love to see Teague and Schroeder in there together sometime soon.

off topic: I really like our new pac court much better than our old court.

Sorry I'm late to the party again fellas, had work and just finished watching the game off my dvr. So let's get down to the game takeaways...

Schroeder

Not going to spend a lot of time here. The kid played great and continued to improve. Not sure how I felt about that 2 PG lineup of Teague & Schroder though.

Thabo

Thabos defense is amazing. I know we signed him strictly for defensive purposes this off season but man...if he could get his shot going (particularly the 3) then he'd help out the Hawks SO much.

The boards

Another bad night on the glass. I'm gradually becoming more and more convinced there's nothing coach Bud can do to improve our efforts on the boards. We need a late growth spurt from Sap and Horford lol.

The Point-Blank Shots

It doesn't do any good to stay agressive if we keep missing our point blank shots. I love Teague being agressive but he's gotta do a better job at finishing at the rim. Same could be said for the other players but the majority of this goes to Teague.
