Re: NBA2k15 Thread
The last two business trips I have taken to Toronto I have packed and taken my Xbox console in my luggage to play NBA2K15 in my hotel room during any down time I might have.
Each business trip has only been two nights each time - so it's not like it's weeks at a time.
Like the Charlotte shot clock: It's an issue, folks.

and once again, jefferson scored at will for the 1st three quarters then got magically shut down by invisible defenders in the 4th. happens every game.
That won't happen to me, I've got Michael Jordan to defend Westbrook or Durant.
Also I play 10 minute quarters

I've never had a problem with an invisible defender; but I'll look out for that.

Out of respect for the amount of work MKG has obviously put into his jump shot over the summer I manually adjusted his signature style. For those interested in what I went with:
realease timing = normal
shooting form = release 46
shot base = jump shot 13
fadeaway = j big kick

i was thinking about doing the same thing. seems only fair.
btw, slam is scheduled to beat my ass in 2k15 in just over an hour. i think i should make him play with current sixers, while i get to play with the 86 celtics.

Re: NBA2k15 Thread
Just made my first trade as a GM.
I really hate playing with Marv and Roberts. They bring nothing to the style I play.
Received from Bulls:
Hinrich
Mirotic
Given to bulls:
Williams
Roberts
2016 1st
I get an earlier year expiring with Hinrich, but one year later on an expiring with Mirotic. Save money on both though. Mirotic gives me another stretch four with Vonleh. I didn't want to give away the first, but I am really hoping that it will be a late round pick, also lets be real, I am probably not playing two full seasons on the game.

Fats and I showing our ages when we try and play online.
Can't figure out how to log in. Can't figure out how to play on the same team. Can't figure out how to make subs. Can't figure out how to change camera angles.
But man alive can we play the P&R when he's setting screens and I am feeding him the ball!!
It's pretty hilarious.

Re: NBA2k15 Thread
Apparently the Bucks are willing to trade Giannis for Hendo. Strongly contemplating it. Like I said before I have gotten rid of Marv and Roberts. I like the trade, but I also like to try my best to keep the team in tact.
This is one reason I struggle with playing with the Hornets, I like to build my own team, but to emotionally attached with the Hornets.

Dammit I didn't realize this was the 2k thread, thought this was some (crazy) trade rumor.

Its funny how I was really proud of not relying on Jordan for a change, and he ends up being the top player anyway

Re: NBA2k15 Thread
I started up a MyGM so that I could farm VC.
I chose the 76ers. With the injury enabled roster.
That was a GRAVE mistake. My owner is delusional.
His Demands were as following:
1) 19 home wins: Holy crap! I'm hoping to win that many games period! I start out without my best bigman, without one of my best scorers (Richardson) and lacking depth at LITERALLY every position.
2) Play Joel Embid at least 26 minutes a game for 56 games: The dude is out 6-8 months......
3) Be a top 15 rated team come next year: I'm ranked 28 of 28, with a 68 overall rating. When I sim games I usually lose by 30+ points.
Goals:
- Trade Richardson or Shved: Great now I have to trade the 5th most promising member on my team (sadly) because Richardson is injured for like an eternity and he wants this done by the trade deadline!
--------------------
Anyways I reloaded with a custom roster that A) removed injuries and B) Fixed ratings. Potential in 2k15 is hard capped, so it kind of sucks that Wiggins couldn't get beyond 88 overall or Parker beyond 86 overall. Not to mention guys like Knight, KJ McDaniels, Hairston, Zeller, Wroten, Kevin Martin, McLemore, and such who were underrated or whose tendencies needed to be upgraded.
Note, that I didn't make trades for anyone I boosted, nor did I boost the ratings of anyone on the 76ers outside of Tony Wroten.
I've decided to ONLY play home games this year (outside of my first game).
I made a ton of trades to open up MyGM including:
- Jason Richardson to Warriors for Shaun Livingston: I need a solid backup PG so that I can start Tony Wroten at the 2. Livingston is an awesome pickup for the cost of a guy who is aging and expensive!
- Luc Mbah + Drew Gooden to Kings for Carl Landry + Omri Cassipi: So I get a solid 6th man\ borderline starter in Landry PLUS Cassipi, who sadly might be the 2nd best SF on my team....
- Robert Covington + Shved to Minn for Brewer + Budinger: Budinger expires, but should be better than Cassipi, and Brewer is my new starter!
- Budinger + JaKarr Sampson to DET for Cartier Martin + Caron Butler: Hell yeah, Butler is nearly an acceptable starter rating-wise in 2k15, and in game he is an offensive beast! I know he will be injured at some point in the season, but he will be solid for the 23-40 games I get out of him!
- waived Cassipi: Did this so I could sign Quincy Miller, who I did boost the stats of slightly (up to 70 ovr).

Game 1: Pro 12min (probably should have gone with more difficulty)

Also talking about online play, I've noticed that the last patch significantly nerfed dunks and made layups useful, which is awesome.
Also I finally have a winning record online in mypark, I find that the strategy is to only play with guys I know\Squad with. I am almost always the PG in the squad and I average somewhere around 5.5pts 4 rebounds 3 assists a game. I probably shoot somewhere around 70%, though I am thinking of trying out a new jumpshot in hopes of find a better 3point shot. My record is now 122-107.

Re: NBA2k15 Thread
Just had the weirdest game against the Mavs. i won 113-99 (weird in itself).
Parsons fouled out with 6 minutes left in the 3rd (no clue).
Dirk fouled out with 8 minutes left in the 4th (no clue).
Ellis ruptured his Achilles 5 minutes into the game. Apparently he is only out 6-8 weeks.
The three only played a combine 42 minutes.
I outrebounded them by 20.
Zeller shot it 24 times. Second was Walker with 13.
Maxiell had a dunk and a jumper.
My faith in 2k is wavering.

Re: NBA2k15 Thread
After a couple of trades I've got a really nice team:
PG: Walker, J.Jack
SG: Stephenson, P.J. Hairston
SF: MKG, H.Barnes
PF: T.Gibson, Zeller, Vonleh
C: Big Al, Biyombo
I love this game so much, it's by far the best basketball game I've played, and I've played all NBA Lives from 2005 to 08 and all 2Ks from 2K9 to 2K15. I just can't get enough of it, and I think if I didn't have school and other responsibilities I'd basically be devoting my entire time to playing this unbelievable game non-stop.

I don't think its a good idea to have injuries ON.
That's the only setting I change, because the league is stronger if there are no injuries.

I never thought a game would match NBA2k11.
I did not like NBA2k12, NBA2k13, NBA2k14.
But I love NBA2k15, its my favorite game ever.
