It would be hard to watch the team without him.

I've honestly been thinking about this for quite a while now, and he definitely has had an impact on my life. Demar has been my favourite player ever since we conducted those draft workout interviews, by far. I even recall on draft day 09, my friends asking me who I wanted because they know I'm a ball fanatic, anyway I told them demar, I told them he would be a project and I told them he would love Toronto and vice versa. Where he impacted me was, I dropped out of college 3 years ago after only half a semester because I just wasn't trying, I didn't care to do good I felt like I made it just because I was there. Little did I know how much that decision is kicking my ass right now, anyways after a while I slowly started to add the things that demar would do to get better. I got back into school last January, and never looked back since. I've been pulling all nighters studying, staying in on some weekends to read, asking for advice everyday and the lowest mark I've gotten on any test/assignment since I re-entered was a 72. If demar reads these at all, thanks a lot for really caring about what you do regardless of money and fame.

i mastered my dribble game watching rafer alston and hot sauce when i was in HS because i had all the time to do so. i was playing basketball for hours everyday and would run home in time to catch the raptors game.

but once you have all these commitments your passion turn into a spare time activity.

I know right. I haven't balled in over a month. FML. I used to ball 24/7

Obviously not. Can't you hear the pain in his words?

When I was a kid I was never on a losing team, we always seemed to win everything in every sport in our region. Not derozan but more so the raptors as a whole have taught me what it like to lose and how hard you have to work to win at anything in life..

I can attest to that. If he had a girl Bargs would've rebounded. So impossible.

DD hasn't motivated me much but he has changed my perception of a raw athlete. I was pretty skeptical that DD would ever be able to develop handles and a decent jump shot. I felt like ball handling is a skill you either have or dont have, not something you can acquire. Props to Demar for proving me wrong.

He inspires me to remind my casual basketball friends that Kyle is the best player on the team.

It has influenced me to stop ripping his game apart on internet forums because it has resulted in him becoming a much better player.
