Top wides want the ball, and to some extent most teams force plays to put the ball in their play makers hands.
That's different than forcing the football when another runs free on 3rd and five.

Improvement needed but Dez should get and has gotten the football called his way. HE ACTUALLY NEEDS TO STEP UP HIS GAME....least in my somewhat not humble opinion........shout out to Colors!

OK, I can come down from my no force thinking a little, but when the pre-snap read tells you Beasley is a great option then Beasley needs the ball. If Witten Beasley and Williams chew up the defense Dez will get his catches without being force fed.

What got me in the Skids game was they stacked the box and pressed Dez. I kept wanting them to simply throw deeper sideline rainbows and let Dez run under it. They often had no safety help that could have got to it.

I still think it has to do with the running game. We are running it 31 times a game. That's 10 more than last yr. Counting sacks allowed we are throwing about 32-33 times a game. That's 4 times less. Dez has almost the same amount of targets and catches as he did last season. He is still having a good season. I think the running game has brought more teams near the line of scrimmage and his short catches aren't doing as much as they did in yrs past. He has 190 YAC. Last year he finished with about 530. That's a big difference. Hopefully he has a great rest of the season.

ok here is the update on Dez

Not looking good either

The Cowboys offered him 10 years 140 million ONLY 20 million guaranteed though. and only 5 million signing bonus. The first 6 years he would make only 10 million per year.. Which was turned down.

Now some new news on Dez .... The police have been to his home 6 times ( no convictions though) One of which included harassment by Dez another was for a sleeping baby locked in his car.

Wonder why none of that was being reported til today?

All that said ... it was reported the Cowboys do not trust Dez off the field and feel a lot of guaranteed money and a big contract would blow up in Dez's face and theirs.

Thats was just reported like 5 minutes ago on NFL Network

That tag is looking more and more like the best option for the Cowboys

10 years $114M is what I just heard. That's a big difference. Not sure which (if either) is accurate...

From Rapoport:

@RapSheet: This explains why #Cowboys best offer to Dez Bryant was 10 years, $114M — with just $20M guaranteed. Deal avged 10M over the 1st 6(!) years

He also said Cowboys are still very concerned about his off the field issues. Talked about the police incidents at his home. He listed them, but it's hard to say which involved him personally i guess when you just say "assault" or "baby locked in a car"

If he's willing to sign and play out a ten deal with only 20M guaranteed, I say ink him up.

If all that's guaranteed us 20M I'd have to believe the last 4 or 6 years are 100% cutable.

Heard 114 as well if they want to get him locked up for 10 years I would not be against that cap will be going up as it is. If we can get him at 10 years 140 with say 30-35 million guaranteed I would say get it done. 14 million a year over 10 isn't that bad considering what will happen with the cap over the next 10 years..... 2004 cap was 80.5 million 2014 cap is 133 million an increase of 53 million in 10 years. I would think we would be getting quite the bargain in 2021-2025 for Dez even if he is 75% of the player he is now.

projected cap for next year is 140 with 2016 possibly being around 160

Part of the risk with Dez is if you do lock him up for 10 years, he could get himself lock up for 10 years.

Do they lose Murray if Dez gets a Mega Deal? It will be interesting to see how Jerry manages all this and what he decides to do. Time will tell.

PISSED? Really? I have not seen that statement. He has said he'd be "highly disappointed". Personally I don't see how that can be interpreted as PISSED. Funny if we overstate any thing about the Eagles your up in arms. Two way street dude.

you can cancel it ... I said a few years back Dez should be trade bait while he had value ....... now we wont get ****
Tag is the only option .... and if he does play he decreses his own value

He's a rental
